"Rash is injured look at him" I said worriedly to Gracie
"oh god is he gonna come off?" she asked
"I dunno I can't tell what's going on" I answered
"wait now Herrera's injured" Gracie pointed out
"look Rashy isn't okay why aren't they just taking him off?" I said frustrated
"shit look at Mata" Gracie said
"wait Jesse's coming on? He's not fit enough I can tell he's not ready" I whispered "and Rash still hasn't come off look he's not fucking running why aren't they taking him off he's just gonna make it worse" I sighed
"go on Jesse!" Gracie shouted at the screen
"ugh! He'll be gutted about that" I said to myself "oh my god now he's down Jesus Christ he looks bad" I said trying not to cry
"it was way too soon to bring him back" Gracie exclaimed
"why do I feel like crying every single time he gets injured I really need to get my shit together" I sighed trying to calm down
"hey it's okay you just love him so much you don't wanna see him in pain" she said comforting me
"right I'm gonna text him to make sure it's nothing too serious" I said grabbing my phone
"I am so not prepared to deal with stuff like this with Mase" Gracie said
"the highs completely outweigh the lows don't worry about it" I said "like after the semi-final I had no clue how to try and get him over it and I was so scared he'd be devastated and he was, but you've just gotta remind them that everybody has difficult times and that they'll have more opportunities to get better" I explained to her
"well you always tell him the right thing" she said giving me a hug

"Luce!" I heard someone shout as the door unlocked
"Jesse you home?" I called out as I ran down the stairs "oh Jess babe" I said when I saw him lying on the sofa
"he's gutted" Louie said hugging me before I sat next to Jesse
"I'm sorry hun" I said kissing him on the cheek
"it's not your fault, I should've said I wasn't ready yet" he sighed with his arm covering his face
"how long?" I asked apprehensively
"a couple weeks" Louie explained "he did it trying to stop his run after the chance" he sighed
"well at least you had the best chance in the game" I chuckled to Jesse
"yeah that's how shit the game was" he laughed
"I'd better get going" Louie called "I'll see myself out" he said seeing that me and Jesse needed to talk
"love ya bro" Jesse called
"see you later" I shouted after him "how's Rashy doing?" I asked Jesse
"Jordan hit him hard but he's gonna be okay" he explained
"you know that's not what I meant, how's he dealing not being with Lu?" I sighed
"he's just putting all his time and effort into football at the moment, getting his mind off it" Jesse said
"that's why I'm worried about him getting injured, he'll have too much time to think about it" I whispered
"well if we're injured together I'll definitely occupy his time" Jesse chuckled
