Y/N's POV

It was another sunny day in Miss Peregrine's loop. I rolled out of bed to the sound of feet pounding down the stairs. I look through my closet and change into a light blue dress. I pull my hair into a ponytail and put on black flats.

I go downstairs to see most people already sitting at the table for breakfast. I take my seat next to Olive and I help strap her down to the seat. Claire is on my other side, and Emma is in front of me. All of a sudden, the door swings open with a loud bang, and Enoch enters the room. I roll my eyes, I don't know if he feels the need to annoy people, or if it comes naturally.

He sits down at the opposite end of the table, and soon breakfast is served. We have pancakes with maple syrup, and everyone engages in conversation. Olive tells me about how she tried to go up to a tree yesterday to retrieve a ball Hugh and Millard kicked into it. After we finish eating, everyone disperses around the house and the yard.

I go into the library and sit down on the couch. I grab a book and begin reading it. For the next hour, I'm curled up by the window in my own fantasy world. Just then, someone rushes into the room. I turn around to see Olive and Claire, both holding their dolls and smiling.

"What's up girls?" I ask.

"Do you wanna play dolls with us Y/N?" they said, their eyes bright.

I was like a mother figure to them, so I agreed. I put my book down and made my way out to the yard. Hugh, Millard, and Horace were playing a game of soccer. Fiona was in her garden, and Emma was with Jacob under a tree. We went to a shaded part of the yard where we sat down. We started playing with them. Their favorite dolls, Lollipop and Buttons, go on an adventure to save the castle of Magic from the evil dragon. When they save the kingdom, they become princesses.

After that, I tell them I'm going to go inside. I make my way up the stairs to my bedroom when someone turns around the corner and bumps into me. I hear the sound of glass shatter when something hits the floor, and I see Enoch glaring at me.

"You idiot!" he shouts, "Watch what you're doing!"

I freeze. Although I don't like Enoch, I at least try to stay on his good side.

"Enoch, I'm so, so sorry. Here, I'll help clean it up," I apologize.

"Yeah, yeah. You better, I just finished getting those hearts," he snaps, picking 2 organs off of the ground.

He runs up the stairs to his room, and I go to the kitchen to find something to clean it up with. The jars were filled with some foul-smelling liquid, and I don't bother to ask what it is. I quickly run back and dry up the liquid before getting a dustpan and brushing all the glass into it. Enoch stands there, watching me with his arms crossed.

I stand up and double check to make sure I picked up all the glass, I didn't want anyone to step on it and get hurt. After I am 100 percent sure there is no more glass, I apologize again.

"Enoch, I'm really sorry. Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?"

"Unless you can give me the ability to leave the loop, then no, there's nothing you can do."

With that, he turns around and goes up to his room. I go to my room, which is also upstairs, but I wait until he's in his room so it doesn't look like I'm following him. Once I get up to my room, I practice my peculiarity, which is healing. I go to the flowers in a vase on my nightstand and look at the ones that are dying. With the touch of my hand it turns back into a healthy rose, a wave of golden light flooded over it as it healed.

I can heal any living thing, humans, animals, plants, basically anything. I can also heal people emotionally, but it isn't as easy as just a touch to make something feel better. To heal someone emotionally, I have to kiss them. It's not something I've done too often, but it has happened twice before. After healing any major wound, I feel weak, like I had to take part of me to help someone else. After healing someone emotionally will drain me and my peculiarity for at least a week.

Soon enough, it's time for lunch. When I go downstairs, I hear some of the little kids start giggling. Were they laughing at me?

I take my seat in between the two little girls and I help Olive stay down in her seat. After we finish eating lunch, I feel Bronwyn push me a little. I tripped and almost fell into Enoch again, which wouldn't of been good. Luckily, I caught myself before that happened.

"What was that for?" I asked.

"Oh, nothing," she giggled, and Emma pushed her.

I didn't ask what they were laughing about, but I went upstairs and looked in the mirror of my bathroom. Was my hair a mess? Was my dress ripped somewhere? I examined my clothes and my hair, but nothing looked out of the ordinary.

I begin to go back down to the library when Olive and Claire run up the stairs.

"Y/N! Y/N! Is Enoch really your boyfriend?" Olive giggled, Claire laughing behind her.

"What? Oh Bird no, why would you think that?" I asked.

"Emma told us he was!" Claire chimed in.

"What? Are you sure that's what she said?" I questioned.

They nodded.

This really isn't what I wanted to be doing today, but I guess I have to go ask Emma why in the world she would be telling people Enoch and I are in a relationship. Just the thought of being with Enoch like that makes me want to throw up. And to find out from Claire and Olive? Unbelievable.

I see Emma and Jacob in the yard, and I walk over to them. Emma and I are friends, she probably closest with me after Olive and Claire.

"Emma, can I talk to you? In private," I state, looking at Jake.

"Um, sure," she starts, walking away from Jake, "what's up?" she asks once everyone else is out of earshot.

"Did you tell everyone I was Enoch's girlfriend?" I ask.

"No. Well, yes, but I heard it from Hugh. He came over to me and Jake before lunch. Are you actually with him? I mean, I assumed it was true, but I figured I'd ask now that you brought it up."

I put my head in my hands for a moment before looking up at her. I tell her that Enoch and I are most certainly not together before racing off to find that bee boy.

I just hope I can stop the rumor from spreading before Enoch hears about it. That'll be a fun one to explain.
