Chapter 11- Missing You

Y/N's POV

After I had met everyone here and Kaitlyn showed me around, I went to my new room.  It was a small loop compared to Miss Peregrine's loop, but still decent.  There were two boys around my physical age named Aiden and Alex.  They were twin brothers, and they were both telekinetic.  There was a girl that was around the physical age of 12 that was named Aria.  She had hydrokinesis, and could control water.  There was also a girl, physically about 5 or 6, named Riley.  She could create lightning and control electricity.

Kaitlyn's peculiarity was flexibility.  She could easily bend into different shapes and fit into small places.  She wore a simple white dress with lace at the bottom.  She talked in a soft voice and had a comforting smile.

"So Y/N, why did you change loops?" she asked.

"My boyfriend and I got into trouble, so our ymbryne decided to separate us," I told her.

"Really?" she asked.  "The same thing happened with me and my ex, Daniel.  We used to live in the same loop but we had to move.  We broke up a couple of months after, it was just too hard to have a good relationship so far apart."

She looked sad while explaining the story to me.  A part of me was scared that Enoch would break up with me, but I trusted him.  I love him and he loves me, living far apart won't change that.

"Anyways, what's your boyfriend's name?" she smiled.

"Enoch O'Connor," I replied.

"What's his peculiarity?"

"He's a necromancer."

"How did you guys meet?"

I sighed. How many more questions is she going to ask me?

"It's a long story, really," I say, "You probably don't want to hear the entire thing."

"Well, I have time, and what else is there to do?"

I look away for a moment.

"Fine," I said. "It all started when I first arrived in Miss Peregrine's loop."

I had just stepped through the door of my new house in the loop. I was beyond excited, I couldn't wait to make new friends. Stepping into the home was like walking into heaven. There were little kids running around, some girls talking, even some boys playing outside. I couldn't believe I was going to live here.

The first girl to talk to me was named Emma. She could control fire, and I found it fascinating. She showed me around the house, and then to my new bedroom. I spent the rest of the day unpacking and meeting everyone. They were all so nice, and I was instantly in love with the place.

Dinner time rolled around, and I found an empty seat at the end of the table. After everyone had arrived, I realized there was still two seats empty. We started eating when two boys walked in the room. One had light brown hair that was neatly combed back, while the other one had messy black hair. The one with the lighter hair sat down next to me, while the other stood above me.

"That's my spot," he snapped. "Move."

"Enoch, be nice, she's only just got here," the lighter haired boy says. He turns to me and smiles. "It's nice to meet you, my name is Victor."

The dark haired boy crossed his arms and glared at me. I was about to get up and move when Miss Peregrine spoke up.

"Mr. O'Connor, why don't you come sit over here. Miss L/N was there first," she told him.

He walked over and sat down. For the rest of dinner, he glared at me. I had never felt more uncomfortable in my life. I decided that apologizing would make things better.
