Lexi has been anxious all day as she had to sit at her desk and go through her paperwork. She texted Sarah and practically demanded that her blonde best friend meet her at home after she got off work. The blonde could obviously sense Lexi's urgency because she agreed with little fuss. Tyler was on a training trip and wouldn't be home for another few days, which made Lexi even more anxious to figure things out.
Lexi practically sped home and was relieved to see Sarah's car already in the driveway. Lexi rushed into the house and was thankful to see that Sarah had already let the dogs out. "Hey babe," the Blonde greeted as Lexi practically ran into the house. "What's going on?"
Lexi pushed past Sarah and reached for a bag that was under the kitchen sink. Taking a deep breath, she pulled a box out of the bag and turned around to show it to Sarah.
"Oh," the girl huffed out once she caught sight of the box for the pregnancy test.
"Yeah," Lexi murmured.
"Ok well let's get to peeing sister," Sarah tried to lighten the mood, and it worked, making Lexi crack a smile as the two of them headed to the master bathroom. "No matter what that test says babe, its gonna be fine," Sarah reassured as Lexi did the deed and flushed the toilet.
"I know," Lexi sighed. "It's not like we haven't talked about kids, but we kind of decided to wait a little bit and this just seems so soon."
"Lexi," Sarah laughed. "In the words of the great Thomas Rhett, 'you make your plans and you hear God laughing.'" Lexi smiled and let Sarah wrap her up in a hug. "If its meant to be it will happen, sweetie."
"I know," Lexi took a deep breath and turned to the counter where the test laid. "Ok let's look." Sarah let the brunette go pick up the test while she stayed back, only stepping forward when she heard Lexi release a little watery giggle. "Well," Lexi turned around with a big smile and tears coming down her face. "How do you feel about Godmother?"
Lexi practically went deaf from Sarah's excited squeal.
