Ok- so this is basically what I thought would happen if Chuck met Cas without lOuCIfer using his vessel. So basically, father meets son but instead it's Cas hhh
This was a vent-Spoilers btw, oops
Season 11"Hey, son."
Chuck simply, said waving at Castiel awkwardly. As if he knew what Castiel was thinking. Castiel was making a confused yet shocked expression, a little bit of hate leaking from his face. Dean stood behind him, wondering how Castiel would reply to seeing his father after more than a millennium. He didn't seem very relived like Dean imagined. In fact, he looked like he just saw an old enemy who came back from the dead. Before Castiel could try to blurt anything out, Chuck spoke up for him."Look, I know you-"
"You left us."
Castiel, more hatred pouring out of his face. Chuck took a while to render what his son had said."I-... What?"
"You LEFT US."
Castiel repeated, growling. Dean didn't expect this reaction."You made us look for you. We spent more than a millennium looking for you."
"I realize that but-"
"You weren't there to tell us what was right or wrong. You chose to leave. You left your children without any warning or explanation."
Dean could practically see the steam rising from Castiel's ears. He had never seen him like this before. It made him worried. Chuck didn't respond for a moment or two."Casti-"
"Now after a few thousand years, you decide to come back!?"
Dean was about to step in until Sam put his hand on Dean shoulder. Dean turned his head to look at him, his brother had the expression that said 'we should go.' Dean nodded and followed Sam into the kitchen, where the argument that may or may not be happening couldn't be heard."Cas, I understand you're upset, but-"
"Look what they have DONE. LOOK WHAT I HAVE DONE."
Castiel barked, clenching his fists. Chuck was too dumbfounded to reply."IF YOU WERE THERE IN HEAVEN, NONE OF THIS WOULD'VE HAPPENED. IF I WASN'T HERE, THIS PROBLEM WOULDN'T BE ANYTHING TO WORRY ABOUT."
Chuck knew he was right. If he told him not to go down on earth, none of these angel problems would've happened. And Castiel wouldn't have done anything to cause the Darkness to suddenly appear. If Chuck had told him not to pull out Dean, this wouldn't be a problem that they'd have to take care of. Chuck could've told Micheal not to do something. And it would be that simple. Just telling his children not to do something, and earth would've become the happy place that it was supposed to be. But instead he left. And caused chaos between the angels and themselves. Castiel seemed to know what Chuck was thinking of as well.
"YOU COULD'VE BEEN THERE FOR US. FOR ALL OF US. IF YOU WERE, DEAN AND SAM WOULDN'T HAVE FALLEN INTO THIS OCEAN OF PROBLEMS THAT I MAINLY CAUSED. IF YOU TOLD ME TO NOT GO DOWN TO EARTH, DEAN AND SAM WOULDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANY OF THIS."
He yelled."You're right. I was selfish when I left. I knew none of you deserved it the moment I left. And now I realize that leaving is my greatest regret. I should've came back, but I didn't. I was, and am, a coward. I'm sorry, Castiel. I know you and your siblings would never forgive me, but I'm deeply sorry. I never got to give you the childhood that you were supposed to retrieve, and I hate that couldn't do so. But Cas, if you didn't come to Sam and Dean, they'd be dead. Or worse. They see you as a brother. They love you. And they think that you're part of their family. Don't say that if you weren't here, they wouldn't be worrying about this. Dean would still be in hell, suffering through never ending pain if you didn't pull him out. And Sam would be struggling without him for maybe years, probably trying to bring him back or something. Pulling Dean out was the greatest thing that you have ever done. Sense you've done that, you felt emotions. Human emotions. I don't recall that happening to any other angel. I think. But Castiel, you and your siblings are my children. And I hate the fact how your older brother did something to make me leave. You weren't the ones who made me do so, and that was a mistake. Because of Lucifer, I punished you all. Fathering was never one of greatest skills, and I'm sorry that I didn't get to improve them by spending time with you. I'm sorry..."
Chuck muttered, clenching onto nothing. Castiel didn't seem to get any emotion from what his father had said. It just made him frown. Chuck swore he saw tears in his eyes, but he hoped that his brain was just fooling around with him."Yes. You did do a mistake."
He scoffed, and walked away into the bunker's hallways. His voice sounded thin and croaky. So maybe that was tears.
Dean's head jerked up to footsteps walking past the kitchen. He looked at the doorway and saw a tan trench coat walk out of the view of the door frame. Dean thought that he should stay though. The angel might need some time before talking to someone, besides Chuck. Sam seemed to think the same thing, sense he just looked at Dean and shook his head.50 minutes later bc I'm lazy [again]
"Cas?"
Dean called, knocking on the door. Castiel barely used his room, but Dean guessed that he was in there. Once Castiel didn't reply, he reached for the doorknob and was surprised that it was unlocked. It was probably because of the fact that everyone knew damn well to not bother him at this state. Dean saw the slumped version of Castiel, sitting at the other side of the bed not facing the door. He had his head planted on his hands and wasn't wearing his trenchcoat. It was thrown onto the floor, probably out of anger. His hair was even messier than before, most likely because Castiel was clenching onto it and wanted to tear it out. He almost looked depressed. Dean hated seeing him like this. Castiel took a while to render Dean opening the door."What in the FUCK do you want...!?"
He muttered, looking over his shoulder at the hunter. Dean hesitated. Castiel saying curse words were rare. Especially sense he was an angel, and didn't really have any interest or moment to say these words. Dean was about to say something until he noticed the glint on the corners of Castiel's eyes. His heart sank. The angel had never cried, at least, not that Dean knew of. It pained him badly seeing his friend like this."I-...Cas,..Are you crying?"
He asked, wanting to make sure that the lighting wasn't messing with his brain. Castiel turned his head back to his hands."...No..."
That was an obvious lie. The tone of his voice said otherwise. It was shaky, and very sore. As if he was sobbing. It brought a pain to Dean's chest, thinking of Castiel crying without anyone to comfort him. Dean frowned and didn't think twice while he walked over to sit next to him, embracing him into a hug. Castiel stood frozen and hesitated, but then buried himself onto the hug, tears starting to flow out of his eyes. He dug his face into Dean's shoulder, tears starting to stain his clothes. But Dean didn't mind. He wanted Castiel to let it all out and feel comforted. Though, Castiel seemed to be crying for more than one thing. Maybe it was because of all the negative things he has done, and never forgave himself for those actions/choices. Dean didn't blame him though. Life is tough, and terrifyingly awful. But there is people there to comfort you. Castiel clenched onto Dean's shirt, but tried his best to not hurt him. Again, Dean didn't mind."...Let it all out..."
Dean mumbled to him. Castiel, after a minute or so, started to sob against Dean and cried like Dean never imagined him to do so. Dean's throat tightened. He wrapped his arms around Castiel's waist, pulling him closer into a warmer and tighter hug. Castiel pressed himself onto Dean, clenching on the fabric on his shoulder. Dean hesitantly kissed Castiel's raven haired head, but he didn't really seem to notice or care. More than a few minutes of this passed, until Dean noticed that Castiel stopped sobbing and was now just softly yet shakily breathing. His chest rose and fell in an uneven pattern. Dean exhaled through his nose and lifted his chin, staring into his confused eyes for a moment. Dean smirked and gently pressed his lips against Castiel's preparing to pull away if he didn't like it. Or just if he didn't like Dean as much as he did. Castiel didn't pull away though. He just stood frozen for a few seconds until he mentally shrugged and kissed him back. Dean didn't really expect that. But it felt amazing. Dean had always imagined this to happen, but never thought that it would be possible to actually live the amazing moment. They stood there gently kissing for a moment or two until Dean pulled apart, breathing heavily for air. Castiel was doing the same. Dean smirked and rested his forehead against Castiel's."I love you, Cas..."
"I love you too, Dean..."
Oof- That was depressing (ish)
