Chpt 17: Trust (Pov Taylor)

"Im sorry if you thought i wouldnt tell you ,I didnt want to make it a big deal" I put my hand on his lap and looked at him worried, of course he couldn't look at me as he was driving "That doesn't matter right now" he said coldly as he kept driving. We finally got to Nate's house and i headed away to go near the house and look for Ana and Nate "Nate hello ! You there" Shawn walked up to the front door and tried to open it "The door is locked" he said shaking the door handle, I went around the back where Nate's small back garden was "Where is it" i said to myself as i start looking around for the spare key that was in a small plant pot where it had been when me and Nate were together "Found it !" I bounced up holding the key to Shawn , i felt a bit weird taking Nate's spare key when I'm with Shawn , I was still surprised I even remember where the key is let alone that Nate kept it in the same place. I unlocked the door, me and Shawn made our way in. All the lights were off and it didnt look like anyone was in here "Shawn turn on the lights" Shawn did so ans flickered the light switch multiple times but the light didnt come on "The powers out" Of course being scared of the dark I hold on to Shawn "Baby there's no one here" He flashed his phone light around the room and there really was no sign of anyone here "Ill get some candles from the spare room and see if i can get some lights ,There has to be some things that might help us see where he went" i made my way in the dark to the spare room "How do you know there's candles there" shawn said, hurt in his eyes "Oh uhh.." i couldn't tell thats where he always had candles when i used to go to his house , poor Shawn "When i came here earlier I saw them I was with ana" "Whatever" he mumbled looking away. I felt bad about lying to Shawn there was no reason to lie to him but then again if i told him the truth he would be hurt even more.I got the candles and lit them all around the house "I'll wait outside" he mumbled as he walks out "Shawn" I grabbed his hand pulling him "Please .. I'm a bit scared" he pulled his hand away and looked at me "This scenery is probably brining up to much memories for you huh Taylor, Is that what you're afraid of?" He said harshly walking out the door and into the car, it left me speechless "Shawn.. " I run outside after him "Shawn ! Please.." I tried to get his attention "Please dont do what.." Shawn interrupted me before i could finish "TAYLOR!" He shouted "the candles!" A small flame flickered on the window. the entrance was on fire "SHAWN !" Shawn ran inside trying to find a fire extinguisher , the fire built inside the home but Shawn was able to stop it Leaving only a quarter of the room burnt. I ran inside the house to see what was left , not too many things were burnt and most of the stuff was replaceable, i walked up to the front door. Shawn walked right up next to me "Here" he said walking out the door ashy and black "I was able to save this" He threw the picture that I saw earlier with me and Nate to me as he walked outside into the car , he started the engine and drove off. i ran out on to the the road and just look as he drove off. There was nothing i could say. He saw something that hurt him "shawn..." I whimpered as i broke into tears and grabbed the picture "why ... Why are you still hurting me" i gave it one last look before throwing it back in to Nate's house.

A taxi pulled up a couple minutes later "TAXI FOR MS TAYLOR PARKER" He screamed from outside "Yeah... That's me, just recently" i said as I wiped away the tears "Oh how lovely. Newlyweds?" Asked the taxi driver as he got out of the taxi to open the door for me "Nope , just got engaged actually..." I gave a weak smile and got in to the car "Oh how nice , how come he's not with you" "Well.. He just drovr off.. To uhh get something" "Waiting at home with champagne i bet" he looked in the rearview mirror and smiled "Yep" i said looking out the window "I assume Lovely lights, Champagne" I tear up just a little. just the thought that shawn left me alone at Nate's house made me have the worst feeling ever "sorry .. Today has a been very... emotional day" "Oh tears Of joy huh?" "You bet " I tried to give my best fake smile "so where would you like to go" i looked at him confused , i really didn't know why a taxi came for me or why i even got in "I don't really know I didn't call for a taxi" "Well your future hubby did" He laughed "How about home?" i wondered what Shawn would be thinking right the , is he mad or does he understand? why did he call a taxi for me if he left me "Oh.. He did.. " i said confused "Yeah .. Home would be nice, West of Broadway please" the Taxi driver agreed and drove to my apartment. I looked out the window and i contemplated about what just happened. Did I let a past relationship make a mess out of me and Shawn, as i told myself how i screwed up , i got a text on my phone. I took my phone out my pocket to see who it was from, it was Nate "Out of all the people in the world .. Why you" I said to myself as i read the message "She's with Me" Is all it said I ignored the text and tried to call Ana but another one popped up "Enjoy your engagement, You sure as hell don't deserve it." My heart sank and i couldnt take it , I threw  my phone to the seat next to me and tried my beat not to ball my eyes out in a taxi. After a few minuets my phone started ti ring "if he .. Is calling me i swear" I said to myself. I breathed deeply and answered the phone "No one followed you here right.?" i heard Ana's voice "Hello? Ana?" i could barley hear but it sounded like Nate's voice too "Thank god." "Im on my way to see Shawn" i said trying to see if Ana could hear me , she continued to talk "I can't see him right now" i knew she was talking to Nate, i could hear his vlice clearer now and this wasn't good at all "Get away from Nate now" I said demandingly at the phone. But then I realized it was a misdial. Ana must of accidently called me without knowing it "Ana..." and the phone call cut off, I put my phone away and asked the taxi driver to stop "Thanks ! I'm pretty close ill just walk to rest" "are you sure?" He asked stopping the taxi on the sidewalk "Yeah ill run if I have to" "Sure thing all is pre paid anyway, Goodnight ms, Congratulations on the engagement" "Good night .... What's your name ?" i asked as i got out the Taxi "Shawn Jacobs ms" wow out of all the names in the world ... the driver has Shawn's name and his middle name "Shawn ,That's..That's my fiancé's name" I smiled softly "How lovely" he smiled back and drove away; I run a to my apartment building and I could see Shawn waiting outside "SHAWN!" I yelled. Finally I got to him , i held on to his shoulder out of breath "I'm leaving Taylor We haven't found Nate, though you might have" he said walking to Sam's car not even giving me a second look "We have a lot talk about, But right now I need you to come with me" I grabbed his hand pulling him to come with me "No I can't deal with you right know" he said harshly pulling it back, continuing to walk to Sam's car. i knew he was mad but he had to listen to me "Shawn .. I need you to trust me, I know where they are" He closed the car door "Sadly I don't know if I can trust you anymore. Good luck finding him" there was no expression and nothing left to say as Sam drove off. My heart just broke how could he not trust me, tears rolled down my face , just those words from Shawn were enough to bring me to tears. My phone began to ring it was Cameron the last thing i wanted right now was more drama  i really had no time for him right now. i ignored the call and ran to where i think Ana and Nate might be
