Chapter 13
Jealousy
Patrick Wale POV
I rubbed my forehead, as I felt wrinkles forming above the bridged of my nose. Monica is currently talking with someone who-knows-who with a male voice through her phone. I thought I was the only one who has her phone number, well except her mom. She laughed and shared jokes with that SOMEONE. I’m really irritated as hell! I hate it when some one else makes Monica laugh, smile or even cry. Who the hell is SOMEONE?! I should know who the h*** is that person. So I can throw him in the middle of the ocean.
I raised the volume of the television and I saw Monica gesturing at me to lower the volume. I just ignored and pretended I didn’t saw her. She dropped the call and stood in front of the television as she covered the program that I’m currently watching. It’s okay, I much prefer to watched her all day long than those boring scripted reality shows.
“What was that?” her hands are on her waist while tapping her foot on the floor.
“huh? What do you mean?” I pretended I didn’t know what she’s pointing out.
“This!” she reached the remote controlled and pointed her fingers to the volume.
“Oh sorry, suddenly my sense of hearing was not right and I can hear properly. But now I’m okay.” I acted like I had a hearing problem and smiled at her to assure I’m okay.
“Good acting Mr. Grown-up-dude! Do you know you’re being ruined? Why did you do that?” she irritatingly asked.
“Well sorry Ms. Flirting-phone-pal! If I’m being so mean to you. Like you don’t realize, you had your BFF at your side who’s waiting for you for almost hour to finish that great conversation of yours with that SOMEONE!” I frowned and cross my arms in front of my chest.
“You’re being b**** right now. Are you having a period?” she jokingly asked me.
I don’t care if I am being a b****. I’m so irritated right now. She’s so insensitive. I glared to her. She just smiled at me. Agghh... That smile... “Stop smiling at me.. I know what your doing.”
“Is it working?” she teasingly smiled and tickled my side.
“Monica stop it.” I tickled her back, she laughed out loud and struggled at my hands; I unintentionally pushed her in sofa. Now we’re lying ,and I was above her. We both looked at each other and my heart starts to beat faster again. I want to kiss her again, to taste those sweet lips of her. She suddenly blinked her eyes and blushed, we both felt embarrassed. I abruptly stood up, and released myself above her. “I’m sorry Monica.” I rubbed the back of my neck.
“It’s fine, We both just got carried away.” she shyly smiled at me and fixed herself.
“Aaarghh!”she touched her head.
“Are you okay Monica?” I hurriedly asked her and supported her not to fall.
