Patrick’s Favor

Monica Levi POV

He walked away and I think his mad. I don’t know what did I do that made him mad. He even left me here, did he really missed me? Or those messages I had received from him is just a lie and tried to tease me? I should not fall for those messages, but I can’t help it. 

“Honey, where’s Patrick?” my mom asked.

“He left.” I answered her. 

“He left? I thought he will join us for lunch. Did you two fight?” I went to the kitchen to help my mom in preparing for the table.

“I don’t know, He just walked away. He’s acting like a B**** now a days.”

“Watch you mouth young lady. And for that, maybe you did something wrong to him that made him mad and walk away.” she pointed at me with a ladle in her hand.

“He’s just being sensitive mom.” she looked back at me and wickedly smiled.

“Or maybe you just didn’t realize something.” She teasingly said.

“Like what mom? I have no idea what’s happening to him and I don’t dare myself to know the reason why.” but deep inside I really want to know. Why do I feel guilty? Stupid Patrick!

We had lunch and my mom keeps on teasing me with that dramatic queen Patrick! What the h*** really happened to him? The phone rang and my mom picked it up. She suddenly looked at me and grinned. Oh, I know who’s calling.... My mom gave the phone to me and whispered, “Honey, It’s your BFF... Stands for BoyFriend Forever..” and laughed. 

“Mom!” sometimes my mom acts like a teenager. I glared at her, she just smiled and walked swaying her hips. Oh mom, sometimes I think your not a 40 years old woman.

Boyfriend forever? That thing is impossible for me. Boyfriend is not allowed for me specially Patrick I don’t want to hurt him, his my Best friend. And Forever? Forever won’t happen to me.

I answered the phone, “What’s up Mr. Drama-King? Still mad at me?”

“I’m fine Ms. Lovely-Queen, And yes I’m still mad at you. So I would asked a favor to you to make my wounded heart forgive you.” he dramatically said and I rolled my eyes.

“Are you black-mailing me?” 

“kinda, So would you do me a favor?” He asked me again.

“Okay, what is it?” honestly I’m nervous on what favor he would asked. 

“you need to wake up early tomorrow, I want you to come with me. I’ll pick you up tomorrow around 5:00am. Okay?” He excitedly commanded and hang up not wanting me to protest from his command. 

I went back to the kitchen and asked for mom’s permission. And of course, she easily agreed. What did Patrick gave to my mom to make her agree every time we both ask for her permission to go out together?  

It’s 4:50 in the morning, and I’m already dressed up and waiting for Patrick. I’m still sleepy because my mom is more excited than I am, She woke me up at 3:30am to help me prepare myself. “you look great honey.” she looked too excited. 

“thanks mom, Even I’m the only one right now who’s wearing make up in early in the morning.” I sarcastically said.

“Oh, shut up honey.. You need to look beautiful.” She playfully slapped my shoulder. I’m about to comment again when we suddenly heard a knock on the front door. “Oh honey, his here.” she rushed to the front door to opened it. And Patrick greeted her and came in.

“You looked beautiful Monica.” His remarked the moment he saw me. 

“Why thank you Pat, can we just go now before mom finds the camera and took some pictures of two of us like those on JS prom.” I pulled him outside my house to his jeep and he started the engine.

My mom waved on us as she said, “you two should take good care while on the road. It’s still dark and there’s a lot of drunks on the road, okay? Enjoy on what ever the two of you will do... Just be careful..”

“We will Mrs. Levi. We will be going.” Patrick insured my mom.

“Bye mom.” I waved back to her. “Oh mom, please take good care of Milky while I’m away.” 

“Okay.” We drove away from my house going to the place Patrick wants to go, which I have no idea at all .

“Where we going?” I casually asked him.

“To the beach.....” He smiled.

“Oh, a Sunrise?!” He nodded. “Do you know that this will be my first time to see the sunrise?’ I saw a smile in his face. 

“Yes I know, but this is not just a sunrise I assure you.” with that remark I felt excitement and nervousness. What will happen to the beach?
