The Sky

Patrick Wale POV

I’ve been busy for almost a week; school exam, football practice, school activities and attending some social gathering that my parents can’t attend to. Plus those problems I had including Chelsea and Monica. I still don’t know what to do. I’m tired... Physically, mentally, socially,emotionally and even spiritually. All I want right now is to lie down in bed and do nothing.

I heard my phone ringing, ahh! Who the h*** is calling? I just want to ignore it, but too bad my inner self answered it. “Hello?” I heard a hesitated voice in the other line. I looked at the screen of my phone and saw that the number is not registered in phonebook. Is this one of my one night standers or a stacker? As I’m about to hang up the call I heard her voice again. 

“uuhhhmmm, Hello? Is this Mr. Patrick Xavier Wale phone number?” I immediately recognized her voice.

“Yes, Ms. Monica Levi. This is my number.” I answered. “You sound like CEO secretary who calls her boss business partners.” I teased her.

“No, your wrong.” she answered back. I’m shocked and confused. I’m sure this voice belongs to Monica.

I questioned “Then, who are you?”

“I’m Ms. Monica Paige Levi. Not just Monica Levi.” As she giggled at the other line. Oh, I missed her giggles.

“Oh, so your second name is Paige. Hmmph I’ll take note on that.” I literality note it in my mind.

“Pat” Oh he called me “Pat”? I like it. “I call you to let you know I already bought a new phone and please save my number.” Is she really letting me have her number? Oh I’m getting lucky today. “And by the way, thanks for sending apple pies. They’re really delicious, I think you’re making me fat.” I laughed at her comment.

“Your welcome Monica.” I’m happy that she really likes those pies I sent to her everyday. “Monica, are you available this afternoon?” I asked her.

“Yes. Why?” She answered. Great!!!

“Okay. wait for me around 3:00pm. There’s something I want to show you.” I hoped she’ll likes it. 

“Alright, I’ll be waiting for you. See you later BFF.” she agreed.

“Nice! I’m looking forward to see you soon.” I heard her grasped on the other line and I know right now that color of her face was bright crimson red. She hang up. She gets easily embarrassed, but I can’t help it not to tease her. I love looking at her face whatever expression she’s making. She’s always looked beautiful for my eyes. 

I already arranged the things needed for my little surprise to Monica at the back of my jeep. I asked Mr. Dirk to double check if there’s something missing. I’m too excited to be with her. 

As I arrived at the Levi’s residence, I parked my car in front of their house. I brought along my first surprise gift for her. I knocked and Mrs. Levi opened the door with a smile on her face. Letting me in at their house and sit at the living room while she called out Monica. I heard some footsteps going down at the staircase I looked up and I saw the most beautiful girl staring at me. I walked, getting close to where she stood. I hand her the gift that I’ve been holding. She opened it. The flash of crimson red on her cheeks makes her more appealing.
