I ended up not getting any sleep last night, due to the creepy shadow person hanging out outside my window.
All I could think about was whether or not to call the cops. I decided against it, still considering the fact that I might have either dreamed, or imagined it.
What was wrong with me? I'm seeing weird shadow people outside my window! I must have been dreaming.
Almost on cue, a loud crash came from the kitchen.
I slowly got up and grabbed the pocket knife I keep in my room, making sure that I didn't make too much noise. I walked towards the door and realizing that if someone were in my house, I shouldn't go out there and risk my life. That's what happens in horror movies, like in Scream.
I grabbed my phone and as soon as I started to dial 911 I heard a knock on my bedroom door. I almost dropped the phone and had to cover my mouth to keep from screaming.
I starred at the door, frozen in terror.
Silence.
It was killing me.
It seemed like forever until I got the courage to approach the door.
I slowly put my hand out to the door, and as soon as my hand touched the doorknob another knock came from the door, this time I didn't freeze.
I grabbed the doorknob, threw the door open, and I pointed the knife in front of me in case I needed to use self defense. And like a stupid b**ch, I almost stuck the knife in Kyle's chest.
You remember Kyle, right? The guy I bumped into at school the other day?
Well, he was standing in front of me, in my house, with my mail on his hand.
"Um, h-hey. I, uh, I got your mail for you. I just moved in down the street and I thought that I should say hi. But, uh, I think I came at a bad time." He slowly moved the knife from his chest, being cautious not to do anything that might make me stab him, and handed me the mail.
"Oh, no. No, I, um, I just woke up and, um, I heard someone inside and I just got scared. You know? Like a robber, or a murderer, or something." I put the knife away and took the mail from him, feeling my face get red as our hands touch.
"It's cool, I understand. I would grab my dad's gun if I heard some ramdom stranger in my house. But you should really close and lock your front door when you go to bed."
I looked over his sholder to see my front door wide open with my house keys still hanging from the outside lock. I'm such an idiot! I should have locked the door behind me!
I had just realized that I was standing in nothing but my bra and underwear in front of my lifetime crush.
I started to blush like crazy and hurried to put on some clothes.
He must have realized why I got so nervous and started to chuckle.
"Don't worry, I'm not a pervert or anything. In fact, I've seen my sister in worse outfits."
I laughed a bit at his comment.
I then heard a feminine voice yeal his name and he yealed back saying that he was coming.
"That's, my sister. She's my legal guardian and wants me to help unpack. I'll see you aroud school Jessy." He walked out the front door and left it wide open.
I stood there shocked with a stupid look on my face. He knew my name. How?
I don't know how long I stood there until I realized that I was standing in front of my front door in my underwear.
I closed the door and went to get some clothes on. I had a lot to think about today.
