I was on my computer when my phone chimed its familiar ringtone telling me my parents were calling me, probably going to tell me that they are going to give me the money for the bills through the mail instead of coming to visit like they promised.

Oh, my parents are in California due to my dad's work, you see, my dad got a promotion for his job that required him to move to California, and since my dad only had two plane tickets, my parents left me behind in New Jersey. I may have forgotten to mention that before.

I really didn't want to answer the phone so I let it ring until it stopped. But then it started ringing again.

My parents are so annoying when it comes to talking over the phone.

Skype, no problem. Texting, short and easy. But phone calls? If I dont pick up d*mn the phone, the whole world goes to f**king hell!

I finally answered the phone after they tried to call me three times.

"What?" I wanted them to know how annoyed I was. It was freaking one o'clock in the morning!

"Hey, Jessy! How are honey?" My dad's cheerful voice said from the other side of the call.

"Fine, hey dad, if you're calling me about money can it please wait until morning?"

"No, I'm sorry honey, but I don't have the money for this month's payment. You're going to have to make the money yourself somehow."

I don't have enough god d*mn money to pay the bills! They always do this! I nearly yelled into the phone when my mom's voice beat me to it.

"Jessy, honey. Your Aunt Linda said that if you mow her lawn tomorrow than she will give you the money to pay this month's bill. But she also said that she won't have enough to give you money for food and other things, you still have your allowance money right?"

"Yea."

"Well there you go! Also, all flights to New Jersey were canceled because of the weather. I'm so sorry honey, I know how much it meant to you that we were there this weekend. We really want to be there, honestly, but it just can't happen. Maybe next month, okay?"

"Yea, whatever. You always do this anyway, you come up with some stupid sh*t and use that as an excuse not to come and visit. But I get it, really. You guys don't care about me anymore, I get it."

"Honey, wait. Please let us expla-"

I hung up before she could finish her sentence. I am sick and tired of them always doing this.

I threw my phone against the wall in frustration, and then quickly got up to make sure it wasn't cracked or broken.

Like hell I was going to my Aunt Linda's house tomorrow. On a Friday of all days! Why can't I do it on a Monday or something?

I crawled back in bed, turned off my computer and went to sleep. Well I tried anyway, but the same dream with the hallway came back. Only this time, the shadow people were my parents. Trust me, I have enough sh*t to deal with without me being a nervous wreak.

I woke up in the same state I did last time, panting and sweeting.

Only this time, I didn't make the mistake in going to the kitchen.
