Morning arrived faster than I wanted it to. Today was Monday so I got the weekly text from my dad, telling me to go to school, and not slack off and ruin my attendance, like last year.

Anyway, I ended up getting to school late cause I took so long in the shower. My hair was a big clump and was being a jerk to my comb. I ended up just putting it in a loose bun.

Although I don't have a license, I do have a drivers permit, so technically I am allowed to drive. And that is exactly what I do to get to school on days like this.

I got to school right on time. The bell rang just as I was shutting my locker. I ran down the hall, hoping that I wouldn't be late for class. Just as I turned around a corner, a hard object collided with my body. Pain shot up through my back as I hit the floor with a loud thud. Some kids walked by and laughed, I didn't care. I was more worried about getting to class on time.

I was about to get back up when I saw who I ran into.

Kyle Haris.

The guy I have been crushing on since eighth grade.

I felt my face get hot as he looked at me with his blue eyes. I couldn't find the words to say, cause my mouth felt like it was full of cotton.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't see you there. Are you okay?" He stood up and helped me gather my books.

"Uh, y-yeah; I'm okay. You?" I stuttered, and then felt like a complete idiot because my face was surely cherry red and I definitely sounded nervous. Which I was.

"Yea, I'm cool," he smiled at me with a warm grin as he helped me to my feet.

Let me give you a description. He is a pale, goth guy with medium, black hair and soft, blue eyes that hide behind a pair of black, square glasses, sometimes. Other times he just wears contacts the same color of his eyes. He's a sweet kid who cares about other people and their problems, sort of like a bartender or a therapist.

He handed me my books, smiled, and walked away. I stood there, staring after him, looking dumb. I only came back to reality when I heard the second bell ring for classes to start.

"Shit!" I sprinted down the hallways until I got to class, luckily I got there just as the teacher called my name for attendance. Thank god.

Although, throughout the day, I could have swore I saw someone, or something, watching, and following me from the corner of my eye.

But when I looked, I just saw a shadow. The shadow from my dream.
