Chapter 5: Settling In

The very next day packages were sent out to everyone. The packages consisted of a variety of house color coded clothes- catering for all the seasons from their shirts and blazers to their scarves and beanies; in one place or the other on all the items, P.A as well as the house name were embroided on. Also in the package were some stationary and a pamphlet with the respective houses head of house, faculty members of the house, the house stats; perks and areas in and out of bounds for them and lastly a note for a house meeting with the time on it

All bags were packed, goodbye's said to families and first year students either driving to their new homes or getting dropped off at them

Primrose; Aster; Jason and Dante' met each other along with numerous other students in the courtyard of the Dragon House

Alex joined them with Annabelle, she was holding a box with what looked to be black and gold badges or pins, "There are all our baby Dragons- you all can follow us in, Anna here will give you all your badges as proud members of this house- then I'm thinking we have a couple games of pool upstairs to see who gets the best rooms and who gets to share with who"

They all laughed

"I assure you, every room in this house is one to die for- now as first years, sharing rooms is sort of a must but we'll take in to consideration who you'd prefer to share with and who's ideal to share with" Annabelle smiled and almost all the guys grinned idiotically at her, even some of the girls couldn't resist smiling back

"Alright then, come get your badges put on and follow me"

The students began to form lines, at the door, their badges were put on and they were welcomed to the house

"It may not have been my first choice like the rest of you- but you're all here, so this may just turn out even better" Jason laughed whilst moving his luggage forward, the rest of his friends smiled and did the same

Primrose was the first of her friends to get the badge, a small black circle with a golden dragon engraved onto it

"Welcome to Dragons" Annabelle smiled

Primrose beamed and entered with her luggage

Over at the Sharks house, Andrea found Carmen and joined her in the line to get in, "I thought I was alone here"

Carmen smiled, "So did I...was this your first pick?"

"I wanted Dragons...I thought my brother and I could be in the same house...but this was second and I'll probably end up loving it here too...how about you?"

"Oh...this was also my second, I chose Eagles as first...wonder what everyone else chose"

Andrea moved her bags forward, "Guess we'll have to wait and see"

Dean approached them in line and put on their badges, "Welcome to the shark tank", he laughed and continued his way down the line putting on more badges

The girls had a look at it, black circle and a gold shark engraved

"It's so cool!" a guy behind them said

"If you've gotten your badges put on, grab your bags and follow me to your rooms" Hilary called out from the doorway

"Stay close to me..." Carmen whispered

"Why?"

"So we can share a room"

Andrea nodded and they made their way in

"This house is amazing!" Kristen exclaimed whilst looking at the giant white pillars towering over her. The Eagle house was massive and very elegant, pure white throughout with grey roof tiles, the car park was at the front of the house and well trimmed grass grew on every side of it except to the left of the house since that was a university road.
