“Excellent work Henry” the chemistry professor beamed
“Which do you prefer, chem or cars?” Ashley asked with a grin
“Do I have to choose?” Henry asked
Ashley laughed
“Love the proposal you two submitted for the competition this year! I feel another trophy is on its way” the professor laughed
“You know it…You won’t get a better team than Ash and I” Henry smiled
At that moment someone knocked at the door, the professor opened it and there stood Primrose and Aster
“May I help you?” the professor asked
“Sorry to disturb prof but we’d like to talk to Colton, please” Aster said
“Not a disturbance at all Mr. Winters, wait here” the professor said
Colton walked out of the lab a moment later and closed the door, “Hey guys” he greeted whilst taking off his goggles
“What are you‘ll doing in there?” Primrose asked
“Making mini bombs” Colton shrugged
“Seriously?” Primrose asked, stunned
“No, of course not-it’s an elephant toothpaste prac” Colton said with a laugh
Primrose rolled her eyes, “Seriously now, what are you doing?”
“I think he is being serious” Aster said
Colton nodded, “It’s a reaction between hydrogen peroxide and potassium iodide”
“I don’t follow” Primrose said
“The reaction between them causes a whole lot of foam to shoot out, so from there…we’re trying to add colors to well…make it colorful” Colton laughed
“So why elephant toothpaste?” Primrose asked
Colton shrugged, “It’s just what we learnt to call it, its frothy and white…so it looks like toothpaste…and a lot shoots out, enough to brush the teeth of an elephant maybe”
Aster laughed, “I love it!”
“So why isn’t your lab coat messed?” Primrose asked, “Considering all the colors you’d be working with”
“Because I'm not clumsy, plus I gave my partner to do all the hard work” Colton replied with a huge grin
“Wow” Aster said sarcastically
“Yeah but I’d prefer working on what H and Ash are doing, now that’s cool” Colton said
“I thought you all were working on the elephant toothpaste thing?” Aster asked
Colton shook his head, “Would be a waste I guess, it’s a themed lesson of colors…so the pracs we work on have to obviously incorporate colors”
