Chapter 2

After we arrived at Cherry's house we went up to her room so we could try out the make up "I don't know so much about this" I say to Cherry "It'll look fine just let me finish"she said to me as i sat on the her uncomfortable stool "Ok almost done"she said putting the last bit of mascara "Can I look now?" i ask "Sure" she said picking up the mirror "Wow I love it"i say "You look good"Cherry said sitting the mirror down on her bed and my phone vibrated, "Who is it?" Cherry asked "My mom" i say looking at phone "What did she say?" she asked "We are getting a new neighbor" i tell her "Lets go to your house and meet them" Cherry suggested "Ok but lets make it quick I have stuff to do"I tell her "Like what kind of stuff"she asked "I have to go study for the test tomorrow at the library"I tell her "So you can 'study'"she said putting quotes around study "Yes so I can study"II say "Are you sure it's not so you can stare at Adam"she said as we walk out the door to her car "No I actually have to study this time I got an 85 on the last test" I say "That's not bad it's just a B"she said "I know but my dad gets really mad if it isn't a 90 or better"I tell her "You need a new dad" she said laughing "I don't really mind it cause he helps me keep up my grade so I will always pass"I say and she looks at me like i'm crazy "You are a natural nerd" Cherry says staring at the road "I am not I just don't want to fail" I say "NERD!!"Cherry said turning up the radio "Whatever, just wait when I have a good job and have lots of money and your at the same school mopping floors and cleaning up vomit"I say to her "I won't let that happen" she said "Ok" I say leaning back in my chair

When we got to my house my mom was outside waiting on us "There you are"my mom said

"I was with Cherry"I tell her "I know that it just took you forever to get here, and you look different"My mom said "Yeah Cherry gave me a makeover"i say "Yep doesn't she look wonderful" Cherry said "Yea she does, well anyways I was waiting till you got here so we cause go meet the new neighbors"my mom tells us "Ok lets go meet them" Cherry says "Let's go"my mom says walk across the yard and onto the neighbors lawn "Hi my name is Amy and this my daughter Cellen and her friend Cherry"my mom said to a woman wearing a flower printed dress "Oh hi i'm Sabrina and thats my husband"she said pointing to a man wearing a light blue dress shirt and tan slacks "And that's my daughter Jessica" she said pointing to a little girl sitting in the driveway playing with dolls "And this is my son Dalton"she said slapping him on the back "Hey" Dalton said he had golden brown eyes with black kinda long hair that went in across his left eye and had baggy pants and black converse with a black t-shirt "Hi i'm Cherry and this your neighbor Cellen" Cherry said "So your my neighbor"Dalton said staring at me "Yep"I said "And i guess you have to show me around school"he said "Why me"I ask "Cause your the only one I know besides Cherry"he said "Ok fine but I have to go study for the test tomorrow"I say "So i'm starting school during a test"Dalton said "I guess so"I say "Well looks like i'm going home since the nerd is going to the library"Cherry said "Your going to the library"Dalton asked "Yea why" I ask "Can I go i've been stuck here moving boxes for the past 2 hours"he said and Cherry drove away in her car "I don't care" I say and I walk to my car and he follows "So is this your car?" he asked "Yep" I say "Nice"he says and we drive off to the library

When get to the library we grab some history books and sat down at a table and I leaned back and I could see Adam reading his book "Whatcha looking at?" Dalton asked "Nothing" I said and opened up my book and started reading "Oh I know you were looking at that guy over there" Dalton said "Shhhhh" I say "Why do you like him" he asked "Maybe" I say "You do don't you" he said "Yes but don't tell anyone"I tell him "Who would I tell your mom" he said "No people at school"I say "Why would I talk to them" he asked "I don't know"I say and Adam got up started walking out the door "I have to finish this book"I say "I wanna read it to" Dalton said turning the book sideways so he could see the page to "Ok"i say and I start reading again
