The Change

Chapter 19

After I woke up feeling like there is a dark gray cloud of sadness following me as I walk around the house. "So what do you want to do today?"Dalton asked as I walked into the kitchen "I don't know, what do you wan to do today?"I ask him "I don't know, we can't do much"he says "I know it sucks"I say "Yea and I need a shower"he says "Are you gonna do that thing with a plastic bag?"I ask "No I'm not weird"he says "I'm going to"I say "But you have to cause you have it on both arms"he says "Well then"I say pouring the bit of milk into my cereal "Looks like we'll be going to the store"he says walking out of the kitchen then I walk into the living room to eat my cereal and watch TV.

Once Dalton got out of the shower and I struggled to take a shower I put on my black veil brides T-shirt and black skinny jeans then I straightened my hair and I put on my gray beanie, just cause and it's my favorite then I put on my combat boots then I just sit on the bed looking at the stitches on my arms, "Hey what are you doing?"Dalton asked walking into the bedroom "Nothing"I say "Do you need help putting them on?"he asked talking about the wraps that go around my arms "Yea"I say then Dalton stands in front of me then he slowly wraps the bandage around my right arm "The doctor was curious when he saw that you didn't cut your wrists"he says "I was going to, I was going to do that last but then when I was going to"I pause for a second "I don't know what stopped me I can't remember"I say "Do you remember me coming in?"he asked "No, I didn't even know how I got into the hospital"I tell him "I didn't want to have to take you there but Joe said if I didn't then you would have died"he says "That's why did it"I tell him "I know but why?"he asked "Cause I've just hated the way I see things now, I hate the way I feel and when all that happened the other night something came over me and I didn't like it and I don't know it made me feel like I needed to end"I tell him struggling to tell him how I feel "Oh"he says finishing my left arm "Look at this"he says then he take off his jacket and he lifted up his left arm and from his armpit to the inside of his elbow had fading scars, I slowly touch them "And there's these"he says lifting up his sleeve and the top of his shoulder had scars "How long have been there?"I ask "Almost 2 years"he says "Oh is that how mine are going to look?"I ask "Probably"he says then he puts his jacket back on and we walk into the living room "So when is your mom coming over?"I ask just to have something to talk about "I don't know I was thinking about that last night"he says "We aren't doing anything today except maybe go to the grocery store"I say "Do you want to come over?"he asked "Yea the soon she comes over the soon she will be out of our hair and we won't have to worry about her or anyone else"I say "Are you sure?"he asked and I nod "Okay then I'll call her"he says then he walks into the bedroom

I sit on the couch waiting for Dalton to come out of the bedroom. Once he came out he put his phone in his back pocket and he attempted to put his vans on "So?"I say "I have to pic her up"he says "I guess I will go to the store while you go get her"I say "Okay be careful"he says then he stands up and he kisses my forehead and I walk out the door to my car but I have to wait for Dalton to come out cause he parked behind me, when he finally came out he sat in his car to make me mad till I texted him *Stop it I'm wasting gas*

*Oh yea oops sorry*

Then he smiled at me when I looked back at him then he backed out of the driveway then I followed.

I pull into the parking lot of the grocery store and I walk inside and everybody starting staring at me, I walk through the store picking up eggs,milk, and sprite then I walk around and I pick up some candy like skittles, M&Ms, kit kats, and Reese's then I grab some popcorn, strawberrys, oranges, and I keep walking around and I put up salad, macaroni and cheese, hot dogs, and hamburgers, then I go to the check out and everybody kept staring. After I paid for everything I walked out to my car and I put the food in the trunk then I got into the front seat, then I turn on the car and I turn on the radio and cranked up the volume.
