Chapter 5

My aunt came back into the room with a tray full of food "OK I got like 5 hamburgers and fries and drinks" my aunt tells us "Toss me a burger" I tell her and she throws it over my head "Hand me a burger" I say and she hands it to me and Dalton eats the one that was on the floor "That's gross" I say "Its still good" he says "I wonder how many people have puked over there" Allie says in random "Can you hand me another burger?" Dalton asks Allie after spitting out the first one.

"Are you ready for your surgery?" a young lady asked "I guess" I say "My name is Dr.Greene" she said introducing herself to us "I'm Allie Cellen's aunt" Allie tells her "Ok well lets get going, the sooner we start the sooner we finish" Dr.Greene says "Ok"I say nervously and a few nurses come in and start rolling my bed out the door and down the hall

Dalton's POV

"Are you scared?" I ask Allie "Yes.. I'm very scared, Cellen is like a daughter to me she always has been and since my children have all moved out all I have left is Cellen" Allie tells me "How many kids do you have?" I ask "3 two boys and a girl, shes the youngest, my oldest son is 24 his name is Charles, my other son is 22 his name is Tristain, and my daughter is 16 her name is Leigh and she has been having some trouble with some of her friends that she moved in with so she wants to move back with me." Allie tells me then her phone rings "Its Leigh"she says and she answers the phone then mouths the words 'i'm going outside to me' then she leaves, i'm all alone in this quiet,boring room,the doctor said it might be awhile before Cellen gets back so I lay down on the couch and fall fast asleep.

I wake uncomfortable and half way in the floor, I sit up to see Cellen laying in the bed half awake with a bandage rapped around her head "Hey" she says in a whisper "Hey" I reply "Where is Allie?" she asked "Leigh called her and she said she was going to answer it outside" I tell her "Oh" she says "So how do you feel?" I ask "Sleepy" she replied "Why don't you go to sleep?" I ask "Cause Dr.Greene said I couldn't or else I might go into shock, like how does that even happen" she says "I don't know" I say then Allie walks in "I do not like that Dr.Greene women she was talking to me downstairs about you not staying still while they were putting you to sleep and all that stuff" Allie says "I tried to stay as still as I could while they were poking me with needles" Cellen says and Dr.Greene opens the door "Ok the are all ready to go home just lay down and don't forget to take your medicine before you go to bed" she says then she shuts the door "Let me go change into my clothes then we can get out of here" Cellen says "Hey Dalton will you pull the car up the front doors?" Allie asks "Yea sure"I say and Allie hands me the keys and I walk out to find the car

Cellen's POV

"I'm finished"I say walking out of the bathroom "I need to ask you something"Allie says "Ok ask away" I say "Is Dalton your boyfriend?" she asked "No" I say in a quick response "It seems like you guys are together"she tells me "How?"I ask "Cause oh the way he makes sure your ok and he helped you get away from your dad and just the way he looks at you" she tells me "Yea I don't really know how that happened in the first place"I tell her "Well does it matter your safe with me now and Leigh is moving back in with us in a few hours" she tells me "REALLY!!!" I say with joy "Yep" Allie says "I miss her" I tell her "She misses you to" she tells me "Can we go already I want to get back so we can start getting her moved in"I tell Allie "Take it easy, and yea lets get out of here" Allie says and I walk out the door and I bump into a girl with red hair and she was wearing a bring me the horizon T-shirt skinny jeans and black vans "Sorry" I say "Its fine" she says "I like your shirt" I tell her "Thanks, I'm Joanna by the way but all my friends call me Joe" she tells me "I'm Cellen I don't have any friends to call me anything besides Cellen" I tell her "So why are you here?" Joe asked "Dented in skull" I tell her "Cool" she said like it was the most incredible thing she has ever heard "I'm just visiting grandma shes really sick and very weak" she adds "I'm sorry" I tell her and I see Dalton rushing up the hall "Hey lets go Leigh is on her way" Dalton tells "Ok well hopefully we will run into each other somewhere else other than a hospital" I tell Joe "Yea hopefully" she says and I start walking down the hall and out to the car "What took you so long I thought you were behind me" Allie asks "I bumped into a girl named Joanna and we started talking" I tell her "Ok but Leigh is on her way and we need to hurry" Allie tells me "Ok then lets go"I say as we are just sitting in the parking lot

When we arrive at home to see Leigh's car in the driveway, I jump out of the car to see a whole new person, her hair was cut like mine and it was black not blonde anymore "Hey you look different" Leigh says to me "So do you" I tell her "Yea I guess we are both no longer dorks that hang out in the library" she says "I guess not" I tell her "Your hair looks familiar" she says and she looks at the ends of her hair "Oh yea we have the same hair cut" she says "Yep, I'm thinking about re-dying my hair even though I just did it like 3 days ago" I say and everybody comes out of the car, Allie hugs Leigh and me and Dalton walk inside "I'm going to go to my room" I say and Dalton follows me upstairs then into the room "Can I ask you something?" I ask "You already have" he says "Another question" I say "Sure" he says "Why did you bring clothes and then come over to my house?" I ask even though it really didn't make since but I guess he knew what I was talking about "Cause I saw your dad hit you and I wasn't going to just sit there and watch I wanted to get you far away from him" he says "But why"I ask "Cause I like you Cellen, OK" he says "Really?"I ask "Yes" he says and I sit down on my bed "So if you didn't like me wouldn't have done this?" I ask "Of course I would have but maybe not so far away from home" he said "Oh" I sigh and Dalton sits on my the bed next to me "Its my turn to ask you a question" he says "Ok" I say "Do you like me?" he asked "Yea"I say nodding my head and a smile appears on his face "I've never seen you smile before" I say "I didn't smile"he says "Yes you did"I say "Well if I did you would be blind cause I look horrible when I smile"he says "No,I like it" I tell him and he smiles again "Dang it!!" he says "You did it again"I say "I know its hard not to smile when i'm with you" he says and I smile back "See now that's a pretty smile" he says and my cheeks start to burn "Ha-ha and I like those pink cheeks to" he says "Stop it" I say "Never" he says and I kiss his cheek "Will you stop now?" I ask "No" he says "Why" i ask "Cause it means I get more of those" he says "More of what?" I ask and he kisses my cheek "More of those" he says "Well then" I say standing up and he kisses my cheek again "My turn" he says smiling so I lean over to kiss his cheek, he raps his arms around my waist and pulls me onto the bed next to him with his arms still rapped around me and he hugs me tight then he start to tickle "DALTON STOP!!" I say laughing so hard I start to cry, "CELLEN, DALTON!!" Allie yells but we don't pay much attention then the door opens "Oh hey sorry" Allie says "Its fine, what did you want?" I ask nicely "I just wanted to know if you guys needed anything from the store?" she asked "Green hair dye" I say handing her money "I'll pay for don't worry" she says "Thanks" I say and she leaves, then Dalton picks me up and throws me on the bed and starts to tickle me again and I start to laugh uncontrollably, minutes of tickle torture he stops and he looks at me "What?" I ask "You are so beautiful" he says then he kisses me but this time not on the cheek or forehead on the lips then my mind goes wild
