Chapter 8

When I am awaken by Allie screaming, I look at the clock on my wall and we only have 15 minutes to get ready,

After I style my hair, put on my make-up, and get dressed I walk down stairs to find out that Dalton is still probably sleeping, "I'll go get him" I tell Allie "Ok hurry" she says and I walk up stairs, I open my door to find the room empty, I walk into the bathroom and he wasn't there, I go into every room upstairs and still Dalton is still nowhere to be found "Come on guys hurry!" Allie screamed "Dalton isn't feeling good, I'll just drive myself to school today" I tell her "Ok well you better get going" she says "Ok i'm going to get him some medicine and make him some soup and I will go" I tell her "Ok, bye" she says and she leaves for work, as soon as I saw her car leave the driveway I started running up the street to his little 'hang-out' to see if for some reason he was there

As I walk through the trees I see Jane in the parking lot "JANE!!" I screamed and we ran closer to each other "Have you seen Dalton we all woke up to go to school and Dalton was gone, I had to lie to my aunt, I told her that Dalton was sick and I would be a few minutes late for school"I tell her "I saw Dalton like half as hour ago he left with Jason and Tate" she says "Why?" I ask "I don't know, I pulled in saw those 3 getting into a car with Jason driving and they just left" she says "Ok thanks I'm going to try to call him" I say and I pull out my phone, I scroll threw my contacts to Dalton's name, I put my phone to my ear and it goes straight to his voice mail "I guess he didn't answer" Jane says as I put my phone in my pocket "I guess i'm going to go to school and then I guess i'll come by later" I tell her and I go back to Allie's house

After I parked my car in the parking lot I went straight to the office to get a tardy slip since they won't let me in class without it, I walk through the hallways thinking more and more about Dalton, I walk into my 2nd period class which had oly started 9 minutes ago"Do you have a tardy slip?" asked the teacher, I hand him my tardy slip and he puts it on his desk "I'm Mr.Duncan and seems like you've already met my wife according to the hand writing and the signature "Just take a seat by Joanna" he said and I didn't know me and Joe had any classes together, I walk to the desk between Joe and the wall "Hey where's Dalton?" she asked "I don't know" I tell her "What do you mean you don't know?" she asked "I don't know I woke up this morning and he wasn't at home I looked everywhere, I even went to his hang out and Jane said he left with Jason and Tate" I tell her "How Tate's here I saw him in the hallway before I came in here" she says "Maybe he got dropped off here" I say "You know what" she says and I look at her funny "He did this same thing with Lacey, he would go out, get drunk and you wouldn't see him for days, but one day when Lacey finally got tired of his crap she went out with him but every time she did she would come back home back he didn't then like 3 days later he stay for like a day and a half but one day during that day and a half she convinced him to stay and stop going out and he did he stayed right there with her, then when he moved it broke her, could you just imagine spending all this time with some one you love and then it all just gets thrown away" she says and my heart drops I didn't didn't think Dalton was that type of person but I guess I thought wrong "Oh" is all I could manage to say it's amazing that could get that much out.

After school was over all I could think about all day was Dalton, I feel a little tear stream down my face, I look in my mirror to see if my make-up was messed up but it fine I run my finger under my eyes just in case there was something out of place that I didn't see,

When I straightened up I drive up to the hang out I call Allie to tell her I was at a friends friends house and I wouldn't get in till kinda late,

I walk into the building and I look around for Dalton just in case he was walking around, I walk to the back where we usually are and I see Jane and Brian "Hey, so this is kinda weird Jason is here but we haven't seen Dalton" Jane says "Oh my gosh are you serious school just let out so i'm really stressed out right now, and I can't find Dalton and my brain can't take all of this all at once" I say and I lay my head on the table and Jane scoots over to me "He'll show up he always does" Jane says and I remember what Joe told me "I've gotta go home I need a nap" I say and I leave, I get into my car and I drive back to Allie's
