The Change

Chapter 7

I wake up about 10:00 so I get up to find Dalton sitting on my bed with a black eye"What happened?" I ask "Matt found me while I was walking about 2 hours ago and he was mad cause he didn't get to talk to you" Dalton tells me "What is wrong with him?" I ask "I don't know and I don't care"he says and I fix my hair and I picked out my clothes "I'll be right back" I tell him and I change into my black veil brides T-shirt and black skinny jeans and I go back into my room "What is up with you and black skinny jeans lately?" Dalton asked "I don't know but I need more" I tell him "Well my dad is going to bring me my birthday present today for the last 14 years he hasn't gotten me anything" he says "Why is your birthday coming up?" I ask "No its just a random day" he says "Oh" I say "Yea and he is going to drop it off while my mom is at work cause he knows about the running away thing" he tells me "Ok do you need me to take you there?" I ask "Yea so you can sneak into your room to get your black skinny jeans" he says "Yea i'll do that and I'll get a few other things" I say "OK my mom will be leaving in about 10 minutes so we better go cause we have about a half hour drive" he says "Ok lets" I say and we get in my

After we pull into Dalton's driveway we see a white hummer with a truck bed and Dalton's dad was standing out side "Is this mine?" Dalton asks his dad "Yep its all yours" his dad says "Thanks" Dalton says "Your welcome" his dad says "Hey i'm gonna go" I tell Dalton and I run in between our houses and I climb up the tree, I jump on the part of the roof in front of my window, I open the window and I slide inside and I grab my blankets that were outside my window and I hide them in my closet so my parents couldn't see that i've been here, I gather my jeans, some T-shirts and some socks and then my door opens and its my sister "Hey come here" I tell her "You've changed" Emily said "Yea I know but I've missed you a lot" I tell her "I've missed you to so has mom"Emily told me "I miss mom to" I tell her "Can you take me and Jake with you?" Emily asks "I wish I could be I can't" I tell her "Why not dad has been really mean to us since you left" she tells me "I'm sorry believe me I would take you if I could" I tell and I hear the front door open "EMILY I'M HERE!!!" someone screamed "Who is here?" I asked her "The baby sitter shes looking for you to"she said "Well I have to go but I love you and I'll come visit some other time" I tell then she hugs me and I jump out the window.

"Hey Dalton ready to go?" I ask him "Yea" he says "The babysitter is over there and she is supposed to be watching out for me to" I tell him "Ok" he says and we get in our cars and we drive back to Allie's house

When we get back to Allie's there was a note on the table that reads 'Going out to eat with Leigh be back later' "Well looks like we will be here alone for awhile" I say and Dalton comes down the stairs with blankets "What are you doing?" I ask "We are going on that date you said yes to" Dalton says "Ok then" I say then I sit on the couch and he throws the blankets on me "Ok we are going to watch Mercy" Dalton says "I haven't seen it" I say "Well its like the best movie ever" he says "You better be right"I tell him.

After every little part of the movie I would look up at Dalton to see him mouthing every line of the movie.

When the movie was over we put up with blankets then Allie and Leigh came home "You were right about the movie" I tell Dalton "What movie" Leigh asks "Mercy you have to watch it" I tell Leigh then her and Allie sit on the couch to watch it "So do you want to see my friends again tonight?" Dalton asks "Yea" I say "Good cause I think they actually like you" he tells me "Hey guys I you signed up to go to school down here instead of your old school" Allie told us "Ok I say and Dalton looks at me like something is wrong "What?" I ask "Where you are going that used to be were I go to school but I dropped out" he tells me "Are you serious?" I ask "Yes sadly but I'm just gonna drop out again"Dalton says "I'll drop out with you"I tell him "Are you sure?" he asks "Yep" I say and we finish watching Mercy with Leigh and Allie .
