Chapter 10

-SAVANNAH-

"Why do girls make such a big deal out of every holiday?" "We don't know." "It just turned out that way." we all laughed.

The door bell rang. "I'll get it!" I walked to the door and opened it. When I saw who it was I closed it again.

"Who was it?" "Dylan." I said in an annoyed tone. "What does he want? Raylen, did you know he was coming over?"

"No." she walke over to the door and opened it. "Raylen, we need to talk." they walked outside.

-RAYLEN-

"I don't believe that there is really anything to talk about." "There is. I'm really sorry." "Dylan, it's been, over 3 months! And, you just now, on Christmas day, find the courage to apalogize?!"

"Raylen I-" "No! Just leave!" I walked back inside and slammed the door behind me. "What happened?" "Nothing." I whispered.

Raylen walked back inside. She seemed a little, sad but mad, at the same time.

I got a text from Clay.

Clay: Hey!

Savannah: Heeey!

Clay: Are you busy tomorrow?

Savannah: Not that I know of! Why?

Clay: Because I was wondering if you wanted to, you know, go on a date with me?

Savannah: Depends if we have something planned tomorrow

Clay: Okay!

Savannah: Yeah,

Clay: Yeah...

Savannah: Yeah?

Clay: Maybe 'yeah' will be our 'okay' and 'always'

Savannah: TFIOS!

Clay: Yeah...

Savannah: OMG! Clay Ryan, stop flirting with me!

Clay: Okay...

I laughed. He always knew how to make my day a thousand times better. "Savannah!" I put my phone on the charger an ran downstairs.

Nick and Matt were there. "Hey guys!" "Hey!" "I know it's been a few months but it seems like it's been a year since the last time I saw you guys!"

They both laughed. We opened presents. I got a tie-dye penny board and new phone. Everyone else opened their presents and we had lunch.

Nick and Matt just left and it was 7:00. "Baylor!" "What?" "Clay was wondering if I could hang out with him tomorrow.

He thought and sighed. "Sure." I laughed and walked up to my room to text Clay.

Savannah: Hey! This is Savannah I got a new phone. Baylor said we have nothing planned for tomorrow!

Clay: Awesome! See you at 6?

Savannah: Yas!😂

Clay: You know, you should really cut back on the wmojis!

Savannah: Nah. I'm good...

Clay: I'll talk to you later

Savannah: Bye😘😂

We're finally going on our first date in 4 months. I wish none of this drama even started in the first place. I feel like such a girl right now...
