*Malaki p.o.v.*

"Kii-ea is a woman?" Zeds grandmother says, stirring us back into reality.

Kiki snaps out of it, she gives Hendrix to me and I pass him to Liam.

"Thank you kii-ea. Thank you. " He is holding his son close, bridal style and Hendrix body is limp in his arms.

"He is ok." She mutters, still walking forward. She pulls Zed up with her power and into my arms.I hold him close, kissing his cheek.

"Im so glad your ok little one." I whisper, knowing everyone can hear me. Xander and gia also come over, kissing their son who lays in my arms.

Kii-ea turns to the monitor in the wall.

"V, get me a med bed. Lex, clear the hallways. Zed is ok, but he needs immediate care. All of you on my signal follow quickly. Malaki, make sure no one sees me as I work on zed. Hack the system, all cameras nearby off." In seconds Zed is hovering in front of her and she unmelts part of the ice.

As if on que, V rolls the med bed to me, I place him on it. Kiki hops onto him, straddling zeds chest, facing his thighs. Its quite awkward, her rear is right in his face.

I realize I'm staring at her roundness when her eyes meet mine. But she's completely ignoring the fact that I was staring.

"Malaki, I need you to open med bay one, assign rover 3 and 6 to me. I need an atom stabilizer going and a carbon fiber stitch tape with antimicrobials, I need antibiotic and steril cloths. NOW!" She says all of this while unfreezing part of zeds thigh, applying pressure and injecting what looks to be a anesthetic and pain relief into his bloodstream.

"Are you a doctor?" gia asks her, still crying.

"My cousin was trained in all departments, she is one of the best in our colony." Lex cuts in, all while walking next to her. She looks at him briefly and I watch him grab her upper arm and squeeze it. A sign he is glad she is alright, she pats his hand, but goes back to zed.

"Halls are clear, get me to med bay." My cookie yells.

Shes diffidently mine, ours.

The second we enter med bay one robots take over for Kii-ea, who goes and sanitized her hands and gloves up, she looks cute in the surgical robe and hat.

Zeds parents wait on the other side of the room, but there is a a glass window pane, so they can watch her work.

"Malaki get out, you should go sit with his family." She whispers as she walks over to zed. I look at her and see her tears up-close now.

"im so glad you're ok cookie." Planting a kiss on her head I take my leave but join in the watching. She stiffens at my touch.

"Do you really think she knows what she's doing?" Gia asks me.

"I trust her with my life." I reply, taking Gia's hand in mine. She is like another mother to me. She nods and pulls me in for a side hug.

"Hes going to be ok. Your boys will be ok." She whispers. Her all-knowing mother mode kicking in.

"She means a lot to you too doesn't she. All three of you?" Xander asks me, looking at me with a smile. He's now in human form, and all puffy from crying.

"More than she even knows." I choke out, trying not to cry at what today brought us.

"More than any of us realized." I turn to the couch in the back holding an unconscious Hendrix.
