I feel my hand being squeezed and I instantly recognize my cousins smell. I go to say something, but he squeezes my hand hard. I take it as a signal to be quiet. So I hold my tongue.

"I should tell you that royals can't date. At all. Dating means experimentation and that means she won't be eligible for marriage." Lex kisses my forehead and walks away.

I hear the curtain being pulled closed. I open my eyes instantly and turn my head to listen in.

Why would he bring that up? I ask myself

"What do you mean she can't marry if she dates us?" Hendrix says.

"Hendrix, you dumbass. He means that is kii-ea dates us that puts her v-virginity at question." Malaki huffs out awkwardly.

Oh my dear goddess, they're talking about my virginity, and now I know I'm red as a tomato. I'm so embarrassed I bite my tongue, trying not to make a noise of annoyance.

Lex stays quiet and I can feel the tension from hear, their body temperatures go up and I can only figure they're nervous.

"And I will protect her heart." Lex starts walking away, only to stop at the door. I can see him from my bed, his eyes are peaking from the side to contact mine.

He is smiling at me. Knowing I'm listening.

" Talk to her about your....Feelings first. I think you'll find she's very, well, she's open minded." He walks out.

"I want to tell her-" hendrix begins, only to be cut off.

"Guys I think shes up, I hear her moving." Malaki says. His voice is clear as day and I know he's an arm's length away from me.

I lay back quietly and begin to rub my eyes. Gotta pretend I just woke up. Gotta think of something to get my mind off of them.

They all say at once. Hendrix and Malaki are at my side and zed Is still in bed.
