Chapter 39: 7-26-2250 210 a.d.d

*Kii-ea p.o.v*

Slowly but surely, I get Mikey and Jose into the spare bathrooms. In detail I have to show them how to use the showers as they're high tech. They both shower separately, and I give them towels and clothes, plus I have the helper droid preparing a meal for them after their showers.

The three of us, Malaki, hendrix, and myself are in the bedroom watching zed fall apart.

Hes whole body hasn't stop shaking since we left the forest and he hasn't left the bathroom since we got back.

I feel so quilty.

"Malaki, you and hendrix go shower in the next room ok, I'm going to shower with zed alone in here?"

"I think that's best, you'll calm him down better than we will." Malaki tells me.

They leave and I make my way over to zed. My steps almost silent, im trying not to scare him.

"I don't think I can look at it kiki." Zed whispers.

Its my fault hes like this, I made him kill his first man today.

"How could I do this to him" I think to myself.

He doesn't deserve this... I threw him into a battle I could have renegotiated without murder, maybe.

But I let my own opinion rule me today.

Men who do harm to those I love will pay.

But I did harm to those I love today today, and I will pay eventually, I just hope I don't lose them.

Taking a deep breath I look at him and smile, I need to be strong for him.

"Close your eyes ok?" I tell him, and he does.

"O-ok."

"Ill help you wash yourself off ok? You don't have to look at it zed." I kiss his cheek and his body starts to calm down with my kisses.

With his eyes closed I release the tears I was holding back as I slowly remove his gear from him. Each piece of clothing stained with blood, with piece of clothing a reminder of what I just did to the man I love.

"I love you zed." I whisper when I get him under the water. Washing away my own sins.

My hands trail every part of him with antimicrobial soap and I make sure I get his ears, his nose, everything. He didn't calm down till after the hour-long shower. Hes a good guy. He doesn't deserve to feel like this.

I tucked him in after that but he refused the bed and so we made him a small bed on the couch in our room, he didn't want to touch us.

"Its not you kitty...trust me, hell tell you when hes ready." Hendrix tells me when I join him in the living room. What is he talking about?

We heard a knock at the door and Malaki got it for us.

Boe and Frankie trotted in, smiles on there faces and the smell of roast chicken coming off them... looks like they just had dinner.

"Thank you, Joshua. Well see you in the morning." Malaki told him.

We walked into the living room to where the boe and frankie are laying on the rug.

Its hard to think these two large animals are mutants, they're so animal like in nature. I wonder how long they've been in this form?
