A/N: Sort of a filler. I promise I'm only giving you time to secure your wigs.

December 2, 1996

Landing in Minneapolis from Cancún almost left me in a daze. The weather change was rough even though I was bundled up. Thankfully, I didn't catch a cold.

We decided to decorate the Christmas tree at my condo Saturday night before Khaled went back with Denise Sunday. Now Prince has been at my place for the past two nights. Terence came over last night for dinner and everything went really smooth, besides him wanting to talk to Prince alone. I tried to get Terry to tell me what they discussed, but he dismissed it, telling me to ask my boyfriend.

"He just said I made you and Amiyah really happy, and that I should keep up the good work."

I fold my arms and give him a "yeah right" look. "You two were out there for almost twenty minutes." They couldn't have just had that simple conversation.

Prince smiles, giving himself away, "I'm serious. That's basically how that conversation went." His mouth quirks up every time he tries to play something off. "Okay, I won't pressure you. Man talk is off limits.." Watch him get all serious.

"Don't put words in my mouth. I don't push you to tell me about what you and Lacy talk about." He definitely likes to be in my conversation when I'm on the phone around him.

Leaning down on top of him, I kiss his lips that are now pressed in a hard line. "You're sexy when you're serious."

"I'm sexy 24/7." He responds cockily. "You're sexy when you're arrogant too, which you're right, is 24/7." Prince chuckles but smacks me on the ass playfully. I sit up on his lap, feeling my friend waking up. "It's almost twelve, I need to be getting some sleep. Some of us have schedules to keep."

Smirking and rubbing up and down my thighs, he stared suggestively, "I can give you something to put you to sleep."

"You don't need to talk to Terry before you do?" I joke. Prince pulls me down and rolls over on top of me. "Okay smart aleck, laugh while you still can."

Let's just say I wasn't laughing for long.

Anyway, Briana called me this morning at the office and said we'll be having family dinner Sunday, and that my "mystery boyfriend" is invited. Damn, it's only Tuesday. I haven't even been back a week.

I've also been getting compliments on my supposed glow since getting back. The ring didn't help either. Lacy had a field day and Calvin interrogated me after the meeting yesterday morning. I don't know why I agreed to Sunday. He is worse than any father or uncle. Him and Terry together made it impossible for me to talk to a guy in high school. However, I think Calvin will approve of Prince. He charms everyone.

"You should put your initials on the inside." Lacy suggests. The jeweler pushes his glasses up, looking at the ring I chose for Prince. "I could have that done for you by Saturday if you like."

"Could you do a date too?"

"Of course." He puts the ring in its own separate box and I take another look at the rings in the glass counter. They're really nice, but the one I chose was specially made and one of a kind.

"You can write what you want engraved right here while I get your total for you." He slides a yellow slip pad towards me and goes to the cash register.
