"Andrea, who's your friend?" Kian called from a block away. They we're waiting just outside of the little pizza place Andrea claimed to be as close to heaven as you could get.
"She's too hot for you." Andrea yelled back, fighting a laugh.
Within seconds, Sam took off running, a smile on his face the entire sprint.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" He panted.
"Surprise." I laughed.
"Selena!" Kian chuckled. "Surprise visit for the boo?"
"More like I live here now." I shrugged.
"No you don't." Both of the boys laughed.
"It's true, she's on my floor." Andrea chimed.
"I'll be damned." Sam laughed. Kian hit Sam across the chest suddenly, his facial expression had turned cold. "What?"
"Guys stay here for a minute." Kian smiled, already dragging Sam back to the pizzeria.
Of course we waited back a minute before following. These boys weren't very good at hiding the fact that they were trying to hide something. It wasn't until we reached the door that I understood. Jc was inside, and he wasn't alone.
"Do you want to go in?" Andrea held the handle, keeping the door shut.
"I'm going to kill her." I managed to spit out through grit teeth. The door swung open and I put on my best smile.
"Selena?" Jc gave an awkward laugh. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, Kian invited us." I pointed between Andrea and I.
"Hey Selena. Nice to see you again." Jenn, of all people, piped up. Even my presence didn't bring her to get off of my boyfriends lap.
"If you two are busy here I can go. I have my apartment to finish unpacking anyways." I threw my thumb over my shoulder. The question was directed at Jc, but his head seemed to be somewhere else.
"I was just telling Jc about how great digi tristate is going to be." Jenn beamed. Obviously she thought she was winning.
"Yeah that sounds like a lot of fun and all but can you get off of my boyfriend, I need to talk to him outside." I didn't bother giving her time to react before I grabbed Jc's hand and basically threw her off of his lap while pulling him outside.
"What'd you do that for?" He seemed mad.
"Really?" I laughed. "I thought you were in a super important meeting."
"It got cancelled." he shrugged.
"So instead of calling me, your girlfriend who just moved out here to be with you, you decide to go out with another girl?"
"I didn't ask you to move out here." He tensed up. His voice said he was angry but his body language said he was confused.
"You're right, you didn't. I chose to. I couldn't stand being away from you all the time, but obviously it's easier for you since you just replace me." My heart was breaking, words were spilling out that I wasn't even sure I meant.
"You should go."
"You're breaking up with me aren't you?"
"Selena stop."
"Yes or no?"
"Just go."
"I guess I know where we stand. Take care Justin."
With that, I turned on my heels and started walking back to my apartment. I couldn't say I wasn't expecting to be left heartbroken. Jc and I just seemed to work better with hundreds of miles between us, probably due to the fact that he was always surrounded by distractions.
"Selena!" I heard in the distance. Part of me was hoping I'd turn around and it'd be Jc, but I knew the voice too well.
"Hey." I tried to smile when Sam caught up.
"Are you okay?" He knew it was a stupid question.
"Yeah, just done with the bull shit ya know?" I shrugged.
"I know, don't lt it get to you though, Jc's head hasn't been too clear lately."
"Wait, you knew about this?" I stopped walking.
"Well, look I'm sorry." Sam stuttered.
"Don't worry about it Sam." I took in a deep breath before continuing the walk home. Not only was the so called love of my life cheating on me, my best friend was in on it.
Here's to LA.
