"You took a photo of that part?!"

"Yep. Wanna see?"

"Nope~ I can't see! Gross!" Zoe said with a pout as she watched Daniel sit down. 'I wanna see! If only Daniel wasn't here!'

"Don't be so coy!"

"Oh my! What are you talking about? Boys!"

Daniel shifted uncomfortably in his seat, 'DON'T SHOW IT!!' He thought.

He felt a pair of eyes on him, which was nothing out of the ordinary, but Daniel needed a distraction at the moment.

He looked across the row of desks and saw
(Y/N), looking not at him, but the group surrounding him. Her usually lazily hooded eyes were slightly narrowed and sharpened. She paid no attention to the handheld system in her hands.

He watched as she shook her head in the slightest, then returning her attention to the game.

I was just listening like always.

"Zack's punch is lightning fast, really."

"I couldn't see his fist."

Said boy leaned back in his chair, pleased with the praise he was receiving.

"Hey, Stop. I'm not proud of it." He said, glancing to the side to see what reaction he got from his peers. 'Talk a little louder! Louder!'

'Are they hearing this? Newbie? Mira? My strength!' He thought, picturing an imagined reality where Mira looked at him with heart eyes and Daniel cried to himself, unable to compete with Zack's scariness.

(Y/N)'s eyes nearly rolled to the back of her skull, and across the room another girl had a similar reaction.

"Ugh, I really hate that." Mira scoffed, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Why don't you just go out with him? He's nice to you~" the girl sitting in the desk next to Mira asked.

The goons across the room continued their loud conversation.

"Fast fists!"

"Hot blooded!"

"He's always fighting." Mira said, folding her hands on the desk in front of her. "A while ago he invited me to a movie, but he got in a fight on the street again!" She explained, remembering Zack beating the helpless chubby boy where anyone could see.

"Geez- crazy. I'm not really shocked though." Mira's seat mate said cooly.

"What do you mean?" Mira questioned.

"You really don't know?" The other girl asked. "He..." she glanced over at Zack and lowered her voice to a whisper, making sure he couldn't hear, "was a rising boxer in middle school."

Back on the other side of the room, Zack ran a hand over his gelled hair. "Enough. As a boxer, I'm not proud of using a straight punch to leave him groggy. I should've thrown a jab." He said humbly, even though the pride coming off of him in waves contradicted his words.

"Wow~ What a pro~"

'Oh.. yeah. He was fast. Why do I have to sit next to him of all people?' He wondered, cursing his sadist of a guardian angel.

Two girls approached his desk, interrupting his mental shake-stick-at-god session.

"Hey... Daniel..." the taller of the two said shyly.

"Got a girlfriend?" The other jumped straight to the point.

Zoe looked over at the exchange and gasped, immediately jumping into action.
