Finally,
The day of the festival is upon us.
Music was played for the students from all schools to listen to as they browsed walked through all the different stands.
Every department had different events. The fashion department payed people if they could hit Zack, and if they couldn't they would pay him.
The beauty department had Eli cutting some poor girls' hair, the culinary department had a bakery stand and the animation department had a... gambling booth. Who let these weebs watch Kakegurui?
While they weren't allowed to gamble for real money, they could use chocolate coins.
Their stand was easy to set up, so they were ready for customers first, but nobody came for a while. The student they chose to run the stand sat there, trying not to fall asleep and watching his peers milling around the festival.
Just when he let his eyes slip close, promising himself to only doze for a few minutes, a voice in front of his stand piped up.
"(Y/N), you're good at cards. Let's play this one." A tall, muscled boy with bright green hair said as he looked down at the stand.
The animation student's jaw dropped, as did those of all the girls who walked by. His jaw touched the ground when (Y/N) (L/N) walked up to his side, looking down at the table as well.
He had put a red velvet table cloth over the table, and neatly set out the cards and the chocolate coins for a poker game.
(Y/N) hummed and looked up to the student's eyes, making his face burst into red.
"Nice setup. How much to play?"
"Umm, since you guys are the first to come you can play for free."
The guy with green hair smiled and (Y/N) frowned.
"Thanks, but this isn't a very good way to run your stand." She said taking out her old wallet so she could play.
"No, it's fine! There were a bunch of people here earlier." He lied as he reached for the cards so he could shuffle them.
"I thought you said we were the first ones?" Huo asked with a tilt of his head.
The student didn't answer, too busy with shuffling the cards and sorting out his game plan. He was confident in his skills, but the first game being against two rather intimidating presences was nerve wracking.
"W-What are your names?" He asked, even though he obviously knew who (Y/N) was.
The guy gave a friendly smile, which the student shakily returned.
"I'm Huo and this is (Y/N)."
The student nodded. "Are you both playing?"
"What do you think, (Y/N)? Are you gonna play?"
(Y/N) was staring at the cards and coins on the table. "Nah, I'm not in the mood."
The insanely buff teenager pouted, much to the student's surprise.
"Please? Can we at least play as a team?"
"I said I don't want to play."
"Pretty please? I'll buy you one of those muffins at the bakery stand that you were eyeing."
(Y/N) looked to him at that, narrowing her eyes Huo. "You promise?" Huo have her a toothy grin and nodded excitedly.
She sighed again and looked at the student. "We'll be playing as a team."
