A/N: these chapters are probably going to be a few episodes in one because I'm not including the flash forwards until they're actually supposed to happen

Poppy looked up at the stars, which were lighting up the sky above them. They were beautiful, beyond compare. She looked at Silas.

"What did you want to tell me?"

Silas looked at her and gave her a smile. Being on the Other Side without her sucked, but as she kept visiting him, the more he began to like her, to love her. He hadn't said the words yet, but he wanted to. "You look like an angel tonight...and I love you."

Poppy thought for a moment, surprised. "I love you too," she said softly. Her cheeks became rosy as he leaned forward and kissed her, his lips soft against hers.

"Compel her to forget!" Damon's voice exclaimed. "He's our enemy. They can't be together it's not good for her!"

Poppy got out of bed and walked down the stairs to the courtyard, confused. "Damon? What're you doing here?"

Damon and Elijah looked at each other, seeming to have a quick silent conversation. Quickly, Damon sped behind the girl and held her close to his body, tightly to keep her still.

"Let go of me!" Poppy exclaimed, trying to fight against him. She watched as Elijah walked to them, seeming conflicted. She shook her head. "What're you doing?"

Elijah let out a sigh and cupped her cheeks, forcing her to look into his eyes. "You can't be with him, Poppy."

A tear slipped from her eye. "But I love him." She took a shaky breath. "Please don't take him away from me."

"He's our enemy. You're falling into his lies. He would never love you." Elijah felt guilty as he watched his niece begin to cry, clearly hurting.

"Elijah." Damon wanted him to get on with it.

Her uncle nodded and looked into Poppy's bright blue eyes, beginning to compel her. "You're going to forget the visits to the Other Side. You're going to forget seeing Silas there." He wiped the tears across her cheeks with his thumbs. "Go back to bed and forget this happened."

The Salvatore Boarding Home

Silas sat on the couch of the foyer, the fireplace lit and bringing him a little warmth for the cool night. In his lap was a book, which he was halfway through reading. Next to him sat his pregnant wife, who was reading along with him, her head resting on his shoulder.

"Can we talk?" She asked with a quiet and soft tone.

Silas turned his head and kissed her head. "Of course." He closed the book and she moved her head off him. "What's up?" He asked, turning to face her. He sat crisscrossed with her.

"I remember all of times I was compelled, and everything I had forgotten. Including all of things Damon did to me, the vision...all of the times I visited you in the Other Side." At the last part, a small smile formed on her face. "I guess you can't compel love away, because even though I forgot the first time you said you love me, I still made my way to you."

Silas smiled, holding her hands. "And now we're married, with a baby girl on the way.." He leaned forward and kissed her, their eyes closing.

Poppy melted into his kiss, filled with emotion, even if she was no longer a vampire. She pulled away when Beau walked in and walked to the mirror, clearing her throat a bit, as did Silas.
