"The Ancestors, they will drive me into their darkness. You will give me a safe place to hide."

"She's got a really high fever and it ain't gonna go away if she's running around resurrecting dead kids for you and your brother."

"Five hundred years later, Calfuray and Aiyana traveled north and settled down in a small village, where they changed their names to Delevingne and Abigail."

"The Hollow created the werewolf curse." "It was your line that began it all and yours alone that still has power over the Hollow."

"After the tribe killed the Hollow, they burned her remains—which would allow her to be reborn. Now that she's free, she won't stop until those pieces are gathered."

"Trapping me requires the life of an immortal."

"I gave into the magic...and it felt amazing. Abigail was right, I can't be trusted with my magic."

"Are you ready to die, Elijah? Because I'm quite ready to live."

An Abandoned Shack

"Poppy, Poppy, wake up." Elijah breathed out, his voice filled with pain and worry. His back hurt so bad, and he felt so weak. He was laying on the floor inside a circle of some sort. He didn't know where he was, or why he was in pain. The only thing that mattered to him, though, was his niece, who laid beside him on her back. Her skin was pale and sickly looking; clammy and sunken in features. She wore her clothes from the night before, and her hair was the same, except a bit damp from the rain that poured down on the French Quarter earlier. Stefan's ring laid against her neck, as did a beautiful necklace that held a polished moonstone crystal, which had been carved into the shape of a skull. It was kind of odd to see it, Elijah had never seen her wear it before. He reached his arm out and dragged himself closer to her with a loud groan. "Poppy,"

Poppy turned her head at the sound of his voice, her breathing shifting as she woke up. Her back ached so bad, and she felt weak. She swallowed and opened her eyes, seeing the ceiling of the abandoned shack they were in. When her stomach started to turn itself inside out, she turned onto her side and groaned, closing her eyes.

Elijah dragged himself closer and placed a heavy hand on her cheek. "You're sick."

"The Hollow-" His niece spoke, her voice hoarse, then took a breath as if she had ran out quickly "-I'm dying. She found a way to kill me. I'm dying."

Poppy stood outside Jackson Square, holding flower, which she had put her magic into and heavily cloaked it. She took a deep breath, looking around, nervous that someone was watching her, and it didn't help that the skull necklace she had put on felt heavy, though it was light in weight.

Everything felt so dull without her magic. She couldn't feel the life of the earth around her.

She walked to the bushes and hid the flower inside it, then began to walk away, but something stopped her, an invisible force. She furrowed her eyebrows, feeling her energy draining into the earth.

"You were foolish to hide away your magic." Sofya/The Hollow spoke from behind her, walking so that Poppy could see her. "No matter, I found a way for you to die. All I had to do was link your life to an immortal's. Your suffering will be over soon."
