Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know that after this chapter I won't be writing for whole lot because I'll be getting surgery on the 31st. Love you lots!

Caroline: Dear Elena, we were so close. Stefan and I had finally worked through our problems. Bonnie and Enzo were on the verge of being happy, and Damon... Damon actually did the right thing. The selfless thing. We waited in that room for days. Stefan didn't sleep. Throwing everything, including himself, at that door, trying to get it open. After a week, Alaric managed to crack the security code. We were prepared for almost anything... except what we saw. It was empty.

Stefan: It was three months before we heard the first rumor...a string of missing persons on the West Coast. It was encouraging....But then the numbers kept growing. 20, 50, 60 people missing. It's them. I know it. I don't know what's wrong with them, or what they're doing, or why... but I promise you, we'll get him back. Just know that whatever happens between now and then... it's not his fault.

New Orleans, Louisiana

Poppy's Loft

The room was strange, different, but she didn't know how, she just knew. Everything was blue, cube like. It seemed normal, but it definitely wasn't at the same time. She knew where she was going, she knew what was going to happen.

I had a dream about this. She thought to herself in her dream, and though she thought she knew what was going to happen, it still shocked her.

Standing on a cube was the woman she never thought she'd see again, Dahlia. Dahlia glared at her. "I've come to take what's mine. You and your precious Melody...but you can get out of it if you win my game."

Poppy sat up quickly, a scream escaping her lips, which she quickly muffled by putting her hand over her mouth. Her other hand gripped the bed sheets on top of her legs, and she threw them off so she could get up. The wood floor beneath her feet was cold, but it felt nice. Quickly, she sped to the bathroom and knelt at the toilet, throwing up.

When she finished she flushed and backed away, sitting and leaning against the wall. With a shaky hand she brushed her hair behind her ear, her lip quivering. Her blue eyes were tired, the area around them red, and her skin glistened just a little bit. She was sick again from testing out a cure for the upgraded werewolf venom she injected into her arm, but it didn't work.

"Hey.." Silas sounded from the doorway, rubbing his sleepy eyes. "Are you okay?" Poppy looked over at him with teary eyes before looking back at the wall.

Silas lowered his hand and sighed, walking to join her in sitting down. He placed his hand in hers and kissed the side of her head. "What'd you dream about?"

"Dahlia." Poppy answered and took a deep breath. "I can't keep doing this, Si. It's taking too much of a toll on my body and my mind.." She brought her free hand to her eyes and rubbed them.

"Then stop." Her husband rubbed his thumb against her knuckles. "We don't need to be immortal, Poppy. You and I both know that."

Poppy nodded, leaning her head back against the tiled wall. "Yeah..I know.."

"Mommy!" Melody called from downstairs. "Mommy!"

Marcel looked away from Klaus when he heard the shout of his niece Melody, calling for her mother. They both looked up at the ceiling.
