~Daniel's pov~
The boys and I were walking to the studio, our manager called after realizing that we weren't in studio recording our new songs. We walked through Times Square, the cool air breezing through our hair, our cheeks taking a pink tint from the coldness. I grabbed a pack a bubble gum from my pocket and popped two into my mouth, chewing on it. We all walked in comfortable silence, hearing chatter from the citizen's of New York City. I closed my eyes, enjoying this peaceful moment, knowing that our manager would probably scold us even more when we got to the studio. A small laugh left my mouth, just imagining it was hilarious in my opinion.
"Hey Jack, I have a cool fact-" Zach started.
"Let me hear it then."
"You know the letter 'W' right? Well, if you put double u's it would make the letter 'W'." Zach said, smiling cheekily at his fact.
"Well Zach, that's actually a good fact. Impressive." Jack said sarcastically, clapping his hands slowly and rolling his eyes for a dramatic effect.
"I know right Jack, so grab a pen and paper- learn from the best and down some notes." Zach sassed, with a wink and smirk displayed on his face, made Jack roll his eyes a second time
"Hey Zach- Is it called Banana split because they split the banana?" Jack asked Zach, who was thinking of the question. Zach opened his mouth but before he could get out his words, Jack beat him to it.
"You probably don't know the answer, since you didn't know what two plus two was and you can't even spell supercalifragilisticexpialidocious." Jack said, making Zach shut his mouth.
"You'll never let that go now will you? That was freaking five years ago!" Zach sighed, running a hand down his face.
"Well, not my fault you failed in the first grade." Jack backfired, walking ahead of us.
"Don't worry Zach." I comforted Zach, patting his back.
"You'll always find the answers on google." I finished my sentence, giving him a sympathetic expression. Zach looked at me with a mouth wide open, and a look of offense on his own facial expression.
"Don't tell me you think I'm dumb too!" Zach said angrily, but then he put a pout on his face.
"Zach, you aren't dumb. You are just um- below an average person's smart level." I gave him the benefit of the doubt.
"I'll take it." Zach said, defeated.
I rubbed his back and we kept walking together. The weather suddenly turned cold, like really cold. The chilly air became extra chilly. Something in the atmosphere changed. I could tell that I wasn't the only one who took notice of the weather when I saw my four best friends tense: Just like me. We tried our best to ignore it, but it was bothering us even more. We had at least ten blocks left to the studio, my legs were aching to turn around. My feet were like in quicksand, or they were going against a huge current of water, every time I took a step forward.
'Turn around now.'
'Why? What's happening?' I asked my wolf inside my head, my brows creasing in confusion.
'Turn around now- If not then I will shift.' My wolf demanded- which shocked me very much- since he never really demanded anything, he only does when something big is happening.
'Okay.' I had no choice but to agree.
"Daniel- What are you doing? Hey!" I heard Jonah call out, but I was already gone.
My legs had a mind of its own. It kept running in the opposite direction of where I'm suppose to go. I was running faster than I should have, I probably looked blurred from how fast I was running. I dodged all the people that were in my way, amazingly not bumping into them. My feet were going in front of one another, my speed was going as fast as a speeding Ferrari. A Ferrari that would get a speeding ticket from how fast it was going. I was running through a thick forest, I wanted to stop, but I couldn't. My feet wouldn't let me, no matter how hard I tried.
'Stop resisting- and this will be really quick. I want to get there as fast as I can.'
'Where are we even going?! Where is there?!' I was frustrated, I was jumping into this like a blind man. My wolf doesn't want to tell me anything; He's acting really weird. My nerves were getting the best of me, I'm starting to get really nervous. My jeans had dirt all over them, my shirt was drenched in my sweat. I shook my head, droplets of sweat flew away. I put my hand on a tree, leaning on it, my chest heaved up and down from the run. I was panting hard, my heart that was pounding in chest threatened to break my rib cage. I looked up, and my whole body tensed. My eyes were wide as saucers. In front of me was the famous Jake Paul- and my beloved mate. He was circling her like she was her prey: which she probably was. I was seeing red, forgotten was the ache in my legs, my main concern was this women right in front of me. I saw Mia back away, while Jake took steps closer towards her, he had a sick smirk on his face. I growled, my wolf wanting to rip Jake's throat out. I couldn't agree more. My beloved's face was drained from all her beautiful colour. She looked like she saw a ghost. No- she saw worse. Instead of a ghost she saw something more terrifying: Jake Paul.
"J-Jake?" I saw her stutter from fright, she was cowering away, and she was shaking.
"The one and only." Jake said, with his stupid sinister smirk on his face. And he had the freaking audacity to wink at her. He had crossed the line- I jumped over the fence, but I was too late.
Jake pounced at my beloved.
The last thing I heard was her blood curdling scream.
