Reana had stiffened and drew back from Mogan's awkward embrace.Venom seemed to sip from her eyes as she stared at him.She was no longer the vulnerable girl he had seen.This was Reana and how she hated him for spinning her already messed up life and taking it to a whole sick level.

Mogan on the other hand was tormenting himself for making her see this side of him.He hated himself for what he was--a beast,a cursed man as many had called him.What actually made him hurt was that he had not chosen this path.It had chosen him.Sometimes he wished he was a normal human being even if it was a day.Seconds seemed to drag by as he wondered what next.He had to turn back and leave but a tiny part of him wished she would beg him not to.

He had to but this once he hated to "have to do something."The glare Reana gave him was not helping him either.He had expected a hushed thank you laced with a little bit of fear but no,she was leaking of hatred.Was he so unnerving and monstrous that she detested his touch?

"Not even a thank you kitten?"Mogan surprised himself by asking
"Don't you have a life so that you keep on bopping in and out of mine? "Reana thought aloud

Mogan felt pained then angered.How could he tell her his life was long and he hated himself for it?How could he tell her he was lingering around to atleast see if he could redeem himself? Reana was still blubbering about who knows what while Mogan seethed with fury.The girl standing here had just stamped the stinging words Bleeh had whispered once...
Some things never change.Well,change is inevitable but was it for Mogan?

He knew he had to control but this was somehow worse than all the other rejections.She turned to walk farther away from his reach.Her behind daring him to follow or touch her-pun intended.He was just some scary shadow which she hoped to erase right? Well he would give her just that.

He once again gave in to nature's touch letting her power surge through him.Combining all the elements he did inclusive of;air,fire and water.No he wouldn't project it to her but if he was leaving he had to leave an indelible mark right?He was feeling like being messy and embrace the beast in him that had been caged a few moments earlier.He commandeered the whirlwind as he caused a flame to circle round them.He was enraged and he cared not if she was smoldered or did he?

Reana had felt it before even seeing the ring of fire surrounding her as the whirlwind almost blowed her away.This had to be the sicko's* doing.She detested him all the more.It was getting uncomfortably hot and she knew she could easily pass out but she had sworn not to ever be in a vulnerable position again.She would not go down without a fight.

"See! You saved me because you thought death by their hands wouldn't be torturous ha!Okay kill me but that won't change the fact you are nothing less than a beast!"Reana said to the unearthly man who was floating and making her have chills.
Mogan was tempted to do just that but still he withheld.

"You all the same and you will never change." This hit a cord in Mogan's cold heart..His control was now in shreds.He would make burnt toast out of her.

With all his mind he projected the rising fire to Reana but there seemed to be a barrier for the flames were flicking out of view upon touching her.Horror and contempt was etched on her face.Mogan kept on trying but to no avail.Confusion was in both their eyes.What was she?

Sometimes even foes join forces to take down a common enemy

Athena had been waiting for Lord Warren to storm in her temple demanding to know why he did not have his puppet back.Athena,goddess of wisdom and calmness,was prepared for his uproar.She was treading on a twisted road but she hoped the outcome would be worthwhile for the greater good.Poised and graceful as ever was her golden statue but even that craft could not project the beauty that she, the daughter of Zeus had.She had all along been the fairest and most adored not until...the very thought of her rival made her churn in jealousy and hatred.No one who rivalled her would go unpunished.Well,as an immortal she would do so carefully so as not to rise any suspicions

Just as predicted the emperor stormed in her temple while making an obvious attempt to hold himself together.Whether he liked it on not she still had greater mandate and power than him.The more reason he had sought her help in the first place.Athena stood next to her statue,calm and collected as ever

With a sing song voice that reeked of dominance she acknowledged the emperor's presence.

"Well well,what a pleasant surprise emperor.What makes you come here and interrupt my meditation?"
"She is not yet back!"He barked at her

"Who we talking about? And I suggest you watch your tone when addressing me Warren."Athena stated rather calmly

"Reana of course.You seem to have forgotten our deal?"
"Everything in due time and anyway maybe your search team has gotten all weak.You should be questioning them not me.As far as I can remember I kept her alive so the rest is up to you."

Trying to keep her calm was difficult not when there was surges of power projected at that which she needed alive.She needed her alive and her rival god was not helping.His servant was wielding so much power.But she had an upper hand.In the mean time the girl was safe but not for long.

Turning her attention to Lord Warren,"run along now and find her.Let me wish you luck for you will need it."

"Wait a minute,you have nothing to do with her suddenly being a needle in a haystack right?"

"Do I?...I got matters to take care of in back in Olympia.Until next time Warren." Athena said with her lips turned in a bewitching smile then she vanished.

Letting out a roar of rage he did.Athena was up to something.He could feel it but no way would he let her have Reana.She was his.He might have sounded crazy but it was his fist against Athena's.

Some wars are lost even before they start...
