As the last thread falls so does one's rational thinking ...the period in which it does is what differs...

********
Reana,

I was among those people who thought of roses as breathtaking but a withered one...that definitely was a gruesome sight. And yet his eyes had seemed to differ with me until he broke the spell by calling me a hag. With a larger void in me I stormed out. A foolish decision because I didn't even know where I was going.

"You seem lost wild cat."He said his voice searching...for forgiveness? Solace? I really didn't care.

"Hmmm...whatever where are they in this maze of a castle? The faster you show me the better because I can't stand your presence."

"Only if you say please."He said with that detached voice of his.

I begged no one and he wouldn't be the first so with a stubborn turn,I avoided him and went on my own.
His confusing personality wasn't helping as I tried concentrating on my stomping.

"Such a little old..."He said as he forcefully lifted me off my feet and onto his hard knee weakening chest.I fought him with my all as he strode with an annoying smirk plastered on his face.

"Go on, finish it...such a little old what?" I pushed it out of his mouth knowing all too well the impact.

"Hag" With furrowed brows and simmering anger in his eyes,he finally said it.

Eyes never leaving mine.Yes he was unnerving but not like sir violet eyes.
My clenched fists hitting his well sculpted pecks didn't even make him falter. He made me furious. He made me angry but most of all he made me yearn.

I didn't know what awaited me past the large hallway but if it was death,I would face it bravely with my last straw of willpower.

"I wonder what she sees in you to let you live."He said with disgust.

"Any last words?I might not live after this you know."

The on and off switch in his eyes started to skyrocket. It had hit him real hard-served him right. Was this it?The end of a life long turmoil?I really hoped it was.Ignoring that I was still in his arms,I waited with bated breath when he finally opened the huge doors.

With some reluctance,he let me on my feet as he steadied a wobbly me.His eyes said what his lips dared not utter.Care, concern or was it a darker shade like love? If it was any of the three then he deserved to be smacked back to reality.Ever felt like you were tired of constant change?I had been turned, tossed and juggled so many times that all I craved was death. After all there's some sort of release in dying.

The huge doors held memories I suppose. How many had walked past them? Hundreds? Thousands or maybe ten of thousands? I was far from scared.I was tired. Each step I took felt weighty. My gloomy aura was strikingly out of place in the party I stumbled into.Eyes on my pitiful sight. If eyes could burn, then they were doing so just now.

Scattered daggers are still weapons

****
Mogan,

There she was.Not like I had imagined her.Poise had been replaced with clumsiness. In place of glow was paleness. Her skin was chalky and she seemed like a silhouette. Her silvery eyes shone no more. The blackness of her hair was all that made me realize it was her and of course the biting of the golden comb.My balm seemed lost and the monster in me wanted to be set free and scatter whatever tormented her.Against my better judgement I wanted to be her haven, her anchor but what good was a monster-all I knew was breaking not moulding, tearing not mending.Inspite of all this I couldn't help but wish.

Slowly she walked
As if a force dragged her
Her eyes pits
Her brow sullen
Her face a mask
Her hands helpless
Her veins tortured
Her heart void

And it disturbed me to see another succumb to the emptiness within. Her once succulent cheeks were hollow. She was just but a girl who unlucky as she was did not have to worry about silly girl things like hiding a blush.Gaea had given her a rather huge thing to hide-a hole that consumed her wholly.

"She arrives at last."Athena announced as if it wasn't obvious. She wore a smirk as if the whole ordeal was a plan of hers or was it?

Athena was so breathtakingly beautiful and the smirk tainted her not.Her grey eyes lighter with happiness, her little owl dancing. She was a strange one that one.Calculating I would term her and one not to be messed with. She was the exact opposite of silver eyes-complete.

"What do we have here?"Poseidon inquired.

"A plaything uncle petite as you like them."Athena taunted.

"Always some mischief ha! What would I need of that fading one" Poseidon countered.

Weirdly, it felt like they were addressing all of us in this supposed ball.

"Last time you played me a fool Poseidon not this time."

Immortals bellowed
Mortals watched
Loathe laced words they spat
At each other this time
Each powerful
Each tactful
Our eyes they opened
More than us they were flawed
And the lock to all this revealed
Acceptance.

Somehow Reana was related to the two and their acquainted rivalry.

"Where is the comb Athena?"

"Why the mortal Poseidon?"

Comb?
Mortal?
Puzzle upon puzzle they mounted
But who was the puzzler
It was clear not they
Who was the centrepiece
Clearly not they.

"She is dead inside Athena."
"He not she is your pawn Poseidon."

Dead
Pawn
A pawn was good as dead right?

"He is not you Poseidon!"
"And she is not you Athena!"

Good riddance!
Mirrors showed reflections
Hearts defined resemblance
And caged birds we were

Well, not anymore

Eyes Reana, mirror Mogan
And my last thread fell
So did hers.

Fight our own battles we shall
And man a prisoner of himself creates.
