13. I will not hurt you

Clara was sitting on some bricks and was looking at the forest while Toothless was laying behind her. 

Then Toothless heard something behind him, causing him to turn his head and he smiled when he saw who it was. The person patted Toothless on the forehead, before he moved over and sat down next to Clara. 

She looked to the right and saw Edmund who smiled to her causing her to let out a small smile before she looked back at the forest.

"Hey, you okay?" he asked "Caspian is right, Ed, I am not a queen, I am just a normal girl" Clara said. "That is not true, you are the coolest and bravest girl I have met" Edmund said and Clara shook her head "No I am not" she said and Edmund smiled "You are a dragon rider, and your best friend is a dragon, that is pretty cool" he said causing Clara to let out a smile. 

Then Edmund took her hand, "I think that you will be a good queen" he said and they looked at each other. 

Edmund and Clara leaned their heads towards each other, and they were about to kiss, but suddenly Toothless started making a noise, Clara turned around and looked at him, Toothless shook his head violent, it was like he was trying to get something off his head. 

Clara got up "Hey Bud, what's wrong?" she asked. 

Then suddenly Toothless stood still "Hey Bud" Clara said, Toothless turned around and looked at Clara, but he was not himself, his pupils were different, it was like he was under a spell, "Is he okay?" Edmund asked and  Clara looked at Toothless "I don't know, Toothless what's wrong? You all right?" she asked.

Toothless start walking towards them, with his his mouth opened a little bit, "Hey Bud, is us" Clara said "I think that he is going to hurt us" Edmund said. "NO, he will never hurt us, he will never hurt me" Clara said.

"Toothless, is me Bud, is Clara" Clara said. Toothless walked closer to them and he opened his mouth, and some blue light was shown inside his mouth, "Well, I will not risk that" Edmund said, and just before Toothless was about to shoot, Edmund grabbed Clara and they jumped down from the ruins.

They landed hard on the ground and Edmund looked at Clara "You okay?" he asked as they got up, "Yeah I am fine" Clara said "What's wrong with him?" Edmund asked "I don't know. He has never behaved like that before" Clara said. 

Then they heard a werewolf howling inside the ruins causing Edmund to look worried, "Is okay, go help your family, I will handle Toothless" Clara said and Edmund looked at her "Are you sure?" he asked  "Don't worry, this is not going to be the first time I am fighting against a dragon, I will be fine, you just worry about your siblings, go" she said. Edmund nodded and ran into the ruins. 

Clara draw her sword and Toothless jumped down from the ruins before he walked towards her. 

But then Clara dropped her sword "I am not going to fight you, because I will not hurt you" she said and stretched her arm towards Toothless' forehead who growled at her, "It me Bud, is Clara, your best friend. I am right here" Clara said and stretched her arm closer to his forehead.

But suddenly Toothless grabbed her arm and threw her into a stone.

He then jumped high up in the sky and felled straight towards her, "Better me than you" Clara said and closed her eyes. He opened his mouth and was about to attack her, but then his eyes went back to normal, and he looked at Clara, he stopped the attack and landed on the ground. Toothless looked at her and make a little cute noise, Clara opened her eyes, and she looked at Toothless, he was sitting down like a dog and had his head tip a little bit.

"Bud, you okay?" she asked. 

He looked at her and Clara smiled "Yeah Bud, is me, I am here" she said, Toothless smiled and ran towards her before hugging him. She then took her hands on his chin and they looked at each other "You okay, what happen to you?" she asked. Toothless looked sad on her, he then looked at her arm and saw the bite wound. 

He licked the wound, before he looked at her, you could see on his face that he was sorry. Clara smiled "Is okay, you couldn't control it, something made you, but I am okay, and so are you" Clara said and hugged Toothless.

But suddenly Toothless straight his ears right up in the air, he looked towards the forest before he started growling, "What's wrong Bud?" Clara asked, Toothless looked at her, she got up on his back before they took off and flew towards the forest.

Clara stopped Toothless when she saw something, she looked down and saw a huge army walking over the bridge, it was the Telmarines, they were on the way to the hole. 

Suddenly one of the soldiers looked up and saw them, "THE DRAGON QUEEN IS HERE" yelled the soldier. Miraz looked up and looked at them, "ARCHERS" he yelled. Some of the soldiers took their bow and arrows and pointed them on Clara and Toothless. 

Clara put her left hand on Toothless' forehead. "Toothless get us out of here, now" Clara said, Toothless turned around and was about to fly away, "FIRE" yelled Miraz and the soldiers shot their arrows towards Clara and Toothless.

One of the arrows hit Toothless in his left hind leg, causing him to scream in pain, and they started to crash down in the middle of the forest. "Find them" Miraz said and a handful soldiers ran into the forest.
