17. The single combat

Both Riley and Clara walked out of the ruins and over to some stones that was standing between the Narnians and the Telmarines.

Clara and Riley had their backs to Aslan's Hole when Edmund and Peter walked out of the ruins over to the field, Edmund was holding Peter's sword while the Narnians cheered as Peter and Edmund walked closer to the field.

"Are you ready?" Clara asked Peter when he was at the field.

Peter nodded and Edmund gave him his sword. Miraz took his sword before they both walked into the field and looked at each other. "There's still time to surrender" Miraz said to Peter, "Well, feel free" Peter said "How many more shall die for the throne?" Miraz asked "Just, ONE" Peter answered and put down his helmet.

Peter and Miraz ran towards each other, Peter ran up on a small rock and jumped towards Miraz causing their shields and sword to touch each other, and the fight began.

Peter bent down and almost hit Miraz causing Edmund and Clara to smile. But then Miraz hit Peter so his helmet felled off causing Edmund's smile to dispersed and he started to looked nervous. 

Miraz sword almost hit Peter's throat, but he managed to avoid the sword. Miraz wanted to hit Peter form above, but Peter bent down and took his shield over his head and with his sword he cut Miraz's right leg. 

Miraz hold his right hand on his wound, Peter ran over to him, but Miraz swung his sword towards Peter's leg, but Peter managed to jump over the sword, and he rolled few feet away from Miraz and he got up quickly before he looked at Miraz and they attacking each other again.

Miraz swiped Peter's leg so he felled, Miraz then stepped on Peter's shield and when he did that, Peter's left arm dislocated causing him to scream in pain, Clara took her right hand up to her mouth while Edmund looked scared, he didn't like seeing his brother in pain. 

Peter managed to rolled away before Miraz's sword could hit him.

Miraz walked after Peter while he was trying to hit him with the sword, when Peter was running out of space, he rolled back and tackled Miraz, so he felled on the ground. Peter got up and looked at Miraz, who also got up. 

Peter looked behind Miraz and saw Caspian on a horse riding towards them, Susan sat behind him. Clara looked to the right and also saw Caspian and Susan. Peter got nervous when he didn't saw Lucy "Does his highness need a break?" Miraz asked and Peter looked at him "5 minutes" he said "3" Miraz said before they both walked over to their side. 

Edmund walked over and took Peter's helmet, before he help his brother over to their side and they walked over to Susan and Caspian.

Peter looked at Susan and he looked nervous and scared "Lucy" he said, afraid of what she might said "She got through" Susan said and took a quickly look at Caspian "With a little help" she said and Peter looked at Caspian "Thanks" he said "Well, you were busy" Caspian said and Peter looked at Susan "You better get up there, just in case, I don't expect the Telmarines to keep their words" Peter said.

Susan walked over to him and gave him a hug "Ahh" Peter said and she pulled away from the hug "Sorry" she said "It's okay" Peter said and Susan looked at him "Be careful" she said. Clara looked behind her and looked at the army "Keep smiling" she said, Peter turned around and looked at the army, he lifted his sword with a smile and the army cheered while Susan turned around and ran into the ruins.

Peter sat down on a small stone, Clara walked over to him and took his shield "Ahh" Peter said and Clara looked at him "I think that it is dislocated" she said and Edmund walked over to her "Here let me" he said and Clara step aside before Edmund grabbed Peter's left arm, "What do you think happens back home, if you died here?" Peter asked and the brothers looked at each other.
