The Consilium soldiers split up and walk around the premises with their guns in the air and ready to shoot if something so much as jumps out at them. One by one, each of the Consilium soldiers fall to the ground, all by gunshots to the head. As to where the gunshots are coming from, I am clueless. Scared to death and unsure if I will be shot, too.

When all of the soldiers are fallen dead and Jexton and I are the only two standing, I watch a figure emerge from behind a few bushes and a tree. The person is a woman and she is holding a sniper rifle. As the woman got closer, I began to recognize her.

"Mom?" I say at the same time that she says "Farrah?" I scream for her and she screams for me as we run to each other. We hug and she spins me around three or four times before she puts me down and cups my cheeks with her hands.

"I've been worried sick, looking all over for you. What the hell were you thinking?" she asks through tears and I cannot find the words to say. I look up at her and cry; too happy to see her to say anything at all.

Before I get the chance to hug her, yet another gunshot sounds and my mother falls to the ground. I gape and fall to my knees. "No!" I scream and shake as I place my hands over the wound just above her breast. I turn to Jexton, who is holding the rifle of one of the dead Consilium soldiers. He slowly lowers it and I scream at him. I turn back to my mother who is slowly bleeding to death.

"Mom, I'm—I'm so sorry. About everything. If I could take it all back and do this over again, I would. I would have never left you. I was so stupid to do this and I'm so sorry." I cry and she raises her hand to my cheek. "I know." is all she says before she takes her last breath.

Anger takes over sadness shortly after and I grab my mother's rifle and point it at Jexton. He raises his gun and we stand there pointing our guns at each other for what seems like forever. "I'll let it down if you do." he yells and I shake my head. "No. Now I know for sure I can't trust you. I learned my lesson." I yell back and he shifts his weight.

We stand there for a few more minutes just pointing our guns and staring at each other. My arms begin to hurt, but I know that I cannot let my guard down. I know that eventually I will die, but I don't want it to be like this. If anything, Jexton will die by being shot before I do. If he so much as makes a single wrong move, I will not hesitate to shoot him.

"This is ridiculous." Jexton yells. I stay still and silent. I steady my breathing as best as I can. I begin to shake as my arms are about to give. We have to compromise or one of us is not going to have a peaceful death.

"You're a traitor." I yell and Jexton moves a bit. "You killed her, you killed her. You shot her and you killed her!" I sob loudly, leaning forward and allowing the gun to pierce my thigh.

"I wouldn't be calling names over there." Jexton threatens and I re-position the gun. "You can't threaten me, Jexton." I sniffle. "We both know what we're capable of now." he nods.

"Yeah, you're right." he says and begins to lower his gun as I raise mine higher. "Ah!" he says and raises his gun once again. "Now I know for sure that you can't be trusted either."

"I wouldn't be talking about trust issues if I were you." I threaten and he finally surrenders.

"Okay, okay. You win." Jexton says and lays his gun on the ground next to him. He stands and puts his hands in the air. "Kick it." I demand and keep my gun in the air. He does as I say and keeps his hands in the air. "Step forward." I order and he does as I say once again.

"Come to me." I demand and he begins to walk forward. I keep my gun up until he's within reaching distance of me. He slowly brings his hand up and rests it on my gun. He slowly lowers it and we maintain eye contact the entire time. We cry as we stare at each other and when my gun is below my waist line, I drop it and Jexton and I hug at each other simultaneously.

"Let's go." he says with a shaky voice and I nod. We begin to walk in the opposite direction and he keeps his arm around me.
