"Everything that drowns me, makes me wanna fly."

THE NEXT PERSON I FOUND OUT ABOUT, was Dick. We'd been asked to go on a covert mission with me, him, Superboy, M'gann, Artemis, and Red Arrow. Of course Red Arrow only came along to monitor us. We were supposed to stop a trail of robberies that was going all around the country.

But where we'd be going was what surprised me the most. We were posing as acrobats in a circus, Haly's circus in fact.

One that definitely seemed to give Robin déjà-vu. On our first night there, I was only being the stunt co-ordinator, but when I saw the look on his face when he performed... He was such a great acrobat. Of course I was standing at the side, and the others were all doing a trapeze act. But then he fell, M'gann missed him as they were supposed to grab each other. The look on his face when he fell, I could see a million nightmares on his eyes.
It wasn't just that though. Ever since we'd been here, he'd been... Off. Distant. Whatever you call it, one of them.

It was December the twenty second, a lot of time had passed. At night, we'd almost caught the thief, however we'd just missed him. Another thing, was that Superboy had been more angry than usual.

I was just on edge. I couldn't decide whether to trust or not to trust. Whenever I tried to open up, all I could see was Dad telling me how weak I was, leaning on someone. I had to fend for myself, besides I didn't want to burden others with my problems.

Back in our caravan, we were all looking at the possibilities. We learnt that not only the thief had fire powers, like somebody in the circus, but also several other of the robbers had abilities like everyone in the family.

"So if all of them are in it too," Red Arrow spoke, "then Haly himself may be the mastermind."

We were all talking through a mind link.
"You don't know that," Robin cut in quickly.

"It would explain his lies," M'gann reasoned unhappily, referring to the fact he'd told a police officer that everyone was in bed last night.

We sure weren't...

Robin stood up abruptly. "I told you to keep an open mind!" He exclaimed out loud angrily, before walking out of the trailer with his jacket.

"Hello Meghan!" M'gann smacked her head. "I'll read Haly's mind!"

"I'm not sure we can trust you to do that," Red Arrow said stiffly.

"Or maybe you don't trust her period!" Superboy snapped, jumping into intimidation mode. "I heard you talking to Robin back at the cave, I know you're only here to spy on us!"

Wait, that's why he's here?

"I have good reasons to suspect all four of you," Red Arrow answered. "Miss Martian and Artemis have already been caught in lies, and face it, you know absolutely nothing about Shadow! And you could be programmed by Katniss without even knowing!"

"Or maybe I'll take your head off without even trying!"

Maybe try not to decapitate people?

"Ok!" M'gann stepped in, putting a hand on Superboy's shoulder. "Let's all take a time out, before we do something we'll regret."

"Speak for yourself," Superboy growled, before walking out with her.

As soon as they were gone, Artemis also stood up to leave, whilst saying, "None of us are perfect. But each of us would give our lives for this team. So try to keep an open mind."
