"I'll be watching you."
The Police, Every Breath You Take

WAKING UP IN A DESERT, with no memories, is really weird. Especially when you're all on your own and you wake to the sound of gunfire. I sat up, with a jolt, and my first thought was DAD!!! But then I remembered about Natasha and being rescued. Funny thing was...

"Why the hell am I in a desert?" I mumbled, as I crawled behind a sand dune. I peeked over, and jumped when I saw five tanks. "Oh God," I murmured, "maybe this would be a good time to run." I decided to go with that idea, and started to run in the opposite direction. I checked my pockets, and thankfully, I had my guns and ten explosives.

Wait. Maybe this is Natasha.

"Nat?" I asked looking around. "You here?"
I got nothing but the echoing sound of roaring guns. "Damn it," I cursed. Then I looked over my shoulder. "Maybe I should steal a tank." All of a sudden, a flashback replayed in my mind.

"Can I steal a tank?" I asked hopefully, as we set up the device.

"No Shady," laughed a guy with black hair and mask on his face, "you can't steal a tank."

I felt heat rise to my cheeks. "Darn," I grumbled.

"Just stay sharp," he advised. "Biyalia is a dangerous place."

"Biyalia?!" I stuttered, shocked. "What the bloody hell am I doing in Biyalia?!"

Then I sighed. "And who was that guy?"
I looked to my left. "Well screw you, mask boy, I am stealing a tank."

And that's exactly what I did. It honestly wasn't difficult, and I was steering one in less than five minutes.

"Now..." I muttered, "which was is north?"
I sat back and thought for a bit, when I heard voices. Curiously, I approached.

"You know her?" Came a gravelly female voice.

"N-no I swear, beautiful, never seen her before in my life!!" Came an immature male's voice.

"You both lost your memories too," sighed a girl. "Come on, I'll fill you in as we go."

Maybe I have memory loss...

Oh hell no, woman! You are not going to just hook up with some strangers! Follow them at a distance.

In a massive tank?

Tsk, come on. AT A DISTANCE!!!!

"Come on, Robin, Superboy and Shadow need our help."

How the fu-

They knew me. Now that was downright freaky. I decided to come out, and moved my tank forward. They all yelled in surprise. I went to the hatch, and stuck my head out, along with an embarrassed apology for the scare.

"Excuse me, but... how do you know me?" I asked, directing my question at the green girl who had said my name.

"Shadow!" She gasped.

"Shadow?" Scoffed the girl with the gravel voice, who was all in green.

"Shadow?" Said the other guy, confused. He looked like a knockoff of the Flash.

"Yes! She's one of our teammates!"

"I am?" I said quizzically.

Don't recall ever joining a team.

"Memory loss too? Right. I'll fill you in too."

"I think that means getting out of the tank," the blond girl spoke with sarcastic undertones. I slowly, wearily got out of the tank. And then we just followed the girl, who started to fly.
