This story is about a guy named Elliot and how he is transgender and the struggles in his live. Later on in the story we get to see the story in the point of view of his best friend, Jordan.

"Ella! ELLA! ELLAAA! Wake up! It's time for school!" "Alright Mom, I'm up." "GOOD! You're going to be late!" I hurried to get ready for my first day of sophomore year. I just got my first 'boy haircut' and my parents aren't too thrilled about it. They think I'm a lesbian. My family is Catholic so they think gay and trans people are absolutely mental! I have no clue how to tell them. I haven't even come out to my best friend yet! "Who's the new girl?" A girl whispers as she points to me. "I think she's that Emma girl or whatever her name is." Her friend replies. "Oh yeah, Ella Taylor. I think she's gay, just look at that haircut." She says. The girls giggle and walk away. I suddenly realize who those girls are. Jadyn Stephens and Melanie Jackson. Melanie was my best friend in middle school and then decided to dump me because I was weird and always acted 'like a boy'. I'm sick of her and her little gang always picking on me.
