The Girl with Blank Eyes

I stare at her,
The girl with blank eyes
She keeps following me
I beg her to leave
She only smiles and tells me,
"There is nothing"
Her voice is hollow
But,
Her words echo in my mind endlessly
I continue to hear her words
It is almost as if there is nothing else filling my mind
Every time I hear those repeating words,
Uncontrollable anguish comes pounding over me
Everyday,
The girl with blank eyes moves steadily closer to me
At first,
It caused me to panic
I tried desperately to push her away
But,
my arms went straight through her body
And I tumbled onto the ground
I get so hungry when her presence is near me
But,
I do not intend on getting food
She tells me that food is unimportant
Nonetheless,
I am in desperate need of motivation
I refuse to let myself waste away
Mere moments after I thought that
I now realize reality
For the girl with blank eyes snapped me out of my hysteria
She lunged at me and pinned me down yelling
"There is nothing! There is no point!"
Her words stopped my heart like a loud clap of thunder
My shock and confusion left me staring into her eyes
Her eyes were empty voids
Yet,
They effortlessly engulfed me in her emptiness
However,
There is no need to be concerned
For I feel nothing now,
Just like her
This absence of life, you see
It spreads as fast as a disease
