Bleeding Canvas

And for one swift moment I thought that I felt love
But that moment faded into oblivion
And the light that had been reflected in my eyes was replaced
with shallow emptiness in the bleak absence of love
And though I still smile if you look into my eyes
I am completely and utterly blank and hollow inside
Through my blank lifeless eyes I can see a world full of color
But I am empty and know nothing of color
I try to be filled once again
I desperately try to paint my blank colorless essence
But I do not understand color
Nor do I understand the concept of being filled
