Chapter 14: "I'm not going to lose it."

Kelcey made it out okay. Sandie was furious. She ordered every soldier to look out for her. If they found her, they would hold her captive. She stopped in the middle of the street, and went to the sidewalk. She sat on the bench and text Tord.

"Hey"

"Hi sweetie! How are you?"

Tears fell onto Kelcey's phone. She slowly typed into her phone. "Can I come see u?"

"Sure. Is something wrong?"

"I'm scared..."

"Come over."

Kelcey walked to the hospital, on high alert. She kept a lookout for any Red Army soldier with goggles on. She made it to the hospital safe. She walked to the room. Tord was sitting on the bed. He went to his daughter.

"What's going on? Where's Edd, Matt, and Tom?"

"Wait! I thought you were still hurt!"

"I'm starting to heal. Now answer the question."

"It's Sandie. She's been stealing your codes. You know those goggles you've been working on? She stole them and messed with them. She made them put people under some sort of trance and under her control. Edd, Matt, Tom, Paul, and Patryk are under her control."

Tord stood up and walked around the room, clearly surprised. Kelcey took a tape out of her pocket.

"And if you don't believe me, watch this."

She put the tape in the TV. Tord looked at the black screen. The whole scene with her and Sandie was recorded on a security camera. Tord was stunned.

"That's the room with no cameras. How did you get this?"

"Little did you know, there's a hidden camera in a corner. You can't see it because it's tiny. I nearly got killed trying to get evidence. I've told you a million times and I'll let this be a million and one. Sandie is evil."

She handed him a notebook.

"Look at this."

It was a book full of secret codes. Tord's mouth dropped.

"She is not allowed to have these codes. I'm the only one that has access to them. How did she get these?"

"I have no clue."

Tord gave the book back to Kelcey, and crossed his arms. Kelcey looked at him.

"I saw this and got suspicious. She tried to make a deal with me saying if I gave her the computer codes, she's let them go. I said that she'd have them over my dead body. I had this theory for a long time, and I was trying to get evidence. This is it. She is trying to overthrow you."

Tord looked at her, serious.

"I'm sorry that I didn't believe you in the past. And I'm sorry that I wasn't there to save you and Edd."

He went to the table. Kelcey looked nervous. She looked up at him.

"I'm sorry if I'm sounding a little... forceful. I just don't want you to lose your job."

Tord had his coat on. 

"It's okay." 

He looked at her. He had a gun in his hand. 

"I'm not going to lose it."
