Chapter 18: The Broken Family

Tord's eyes widened. Tears fell down his face. He held his daughter close. No wonder he felt so close to Sandie. No wonder why she acted so much like Leona when she was happy. Because Sandie was Leona. The others in the background had their mouths dropped.

"I was hitting on Tord's ex." Tom said, shocked.

Edd looked away, disappointed. "This is abuse."

Tord noticed the red eye with a scar on her face. Tord remembered this. It dated back to when they first met. Leona used to work for the opposite side. They had a horrible leader. If they disobeyed, they'd put them in some sort of trance. Their eyes looked just like that. She must've done something on her side.

"Leona..." Tord was speechless. "You were Sandie all this time?"

"Yep! And I can't believe it took this long for you to realize it."

"How could you do this to us?! You left us all because of what happened with me! Do you have any idea what impact that left on me?! And did you even think about Kelcey?! Your daughter?! She had to grow up without a mom for such a long time! The beautiful Leona I know and love would never do this?! What the hell happened to you?!"

Leona looked at him, and smirked.

"I... changed. When you left to see your friends, my boss came to me. He made me become the girl I am today. I hid my eye because I knew you would recognize what was going on. I left to train with them, and learn how to disguise myself. I only went back to overthrow you. I overthrew my boss, I could overthrow you."

Tord looked up, furious. He picked Kelcey up, ordered everyone to follow him, and left. Leona left the room as well. Tord wiped his eyes. Edd went to him and put his hand on his shoulder. 

"I am so sorry Tord. Kelcey told us what she knew about Leona but we never knew she'd do this."

"Now I feel bad for hitting on her." Tom said.

"Now you're a dead man."

"Okay just stop! I thought you two made up." Edd said, separating them. 

"Though what's up with that one red eye with a scar?" Matt asked.

"The Mother Base. Their the people we were previously fighting. She was one of their soldiers." Paul explained.

"If you disobeyed the leader, he'd put you under this spell, and make you obey their every command. You could tell that they were like that if one of their eyes were red. Leona must've put up a fight if she had that scar." Partyk said.

"Why would she put up a fight?!" Tord yelled.

"Tord, she loved you. She gave up her side and joined us. Her boss must've learned about this." Patryk said, sympathetic.

Tord heard some small coughing. He looked down at Kelcey. She opened her eyes.

"Dad?"

"KELCEY SWEETHEART THANK GOD YOU'RE OKAY!"

He hugged her, and put her down.

"What happened?"

Tord looked at the others, then back at the six year old.

"We're getting your mom back."
