Kelcey opened the door. She saw Tord, laying in the hospital bed. She felt the tears in her eyes. She walked to the bed and crawled up onto it. Tord noticed her.
"Kelcey?"
Kelcey felt the tears go down her cheeks. She was able to smile. "Hi Dad."
"What're you doing here? I sent you away."
"They wanted me to be here with you."
"You made it safe, right?"
"For a little while, I was on the street. Paul was supposed to give me the address, but he 'forgot'."
"I'm gonna kill him... How did you find them."
"They found me. I was supposed to go to... Edd, Matt and Tom... right?"
Tord smiled. "Yes... you were..."
"They're with me... they didn't know if you wanted to see them..."
"I understand... I did something awful... Is it okay if they come in?"
Meanwhile, Edd, Matt, and Tom were still waiting outside. Edd got a text on his phone. He knew it was from Kelcey. It said "He wants to see you." He sighed, and stood up.
"Well, just as I suspected. He wants to see us."
"Really?" Matt was shocked.
Tom didn't say anything. Edd looked at him, suspiciously. They went into the room. Kelcey was sitting next to Tord. He smiled.
"Hello... old friends..."
Edd went to the bedside. "Hey Tord... how are you doing?"
"Better... not much pain..."
Tom didn't look at him. Tord noticed. He sighed.
"Look, guys... I'm sorry. What I did was awful and I had to pay the price. I had lost a lot. Especially the love of my life. I really don't know why I'm doing this. Why would you forgive me?"
Edd looked at him with an upset expression. "Tord... we accept your apology."
Tord looked at them, shocked. "What?"
"We forgive you. Yes, you did something terrible, but you're our friend. And we can tell you've changed. And... if you do make it out of here... do you and Kelcey want to move back in with us?"
Kelcey looked at Tord, excited. He wiped her tears. "We'll think about it."
Kelcey noticed Tom. She knew what was wrong. She cleared her throat. "Tooooooooom!"
He looked at her. He had bags under his eyes. "I believe you have something to say to my daddy."
"I hate this child..."
Tord chuckled. "You have bags under your eyes. That replaces puffy eyes for you."
Tom sighed. He put his hands over his face. Tord smirked.
"Were you crying over me?"
Tom put his hands down and looked at him, annoyed. Kelcey giggled. Tord knew what he was gonna say.
"Heh... classic, stupid, Tom. You want to apologize, don't you?"
There was a moment of silence. Then, Tom put his hand out.
"I'm not really asking for an apology. What I am asking for... is a... start-over. You know... try and be... be... frrrrrr.....freeeee..."
Kelcey rolled her eyes and started tugging on his ear.
"AH! AH! TRY AND BE FRIENDS! TRY AND BE FRIENDS!!!"
"It took a six year old to get you to say that?"
Kelcey stopped. "Yes!"
"I... uh..." Tom sighed. "What do you say Tord?"
Tord smiled. "I'd like that."
They shook on it. Kelcey smiled at the sight of seeing her dad happy and seeing Tom smile for the first time.
