A/N: Getting closer to the finale!

V's POV

"Hyung, help me. Please."

My face flushes with an unnatural red as I plead to Jin hyung. I'm not sure if he's the right person to ask for advice on things such as these, but he was the eldest. Which didn't necessarily mean that he was the most mature one out of the group, but the fact that he had lived longer than anyone else gave me solace.

"What would make our stubborn child beg? I would be glad to—"

"Hyung, this is serious. I'm lost. I need help— a lot of it, and this is.... this is confusing."

A knowing look enters in his eyes as he crosses his legs together, like he was some professional giving advice to an amateur.

"What do you need help in?"

The blush in my cheeks grow deeper, and I can feel the curve of my ears heat up with sudden warmth. Just thinking of the topic makes me burn in embarrassment and anxiety.

"Proposing. To Tzuyu."

The one that was supposed to be the more mature bursts into the highest pitched squeals that could easily top an opera singer. At his overreaction, I slide my hand tiredly over my eyes. If I'd known he would start dancing all over the room, I'd have rather gone to Jungkook instead.

And he was the maknae.

"Oh my goodness, V!" Jin grasps both of my hands and starts jumping so high I'm afraid he'd break the floor. "I mean, I'd definitely suspected— no, screw that— definitely known, but I didn't think it would be now, you know?"

Then all of his excitement dissolves into seriousness so instantaneously I suspect that he might have bipolar disorder.

"Does the girl know yet?"

I shake my head, feeling helpless again. Fear of rejection had shoved the words back down my throat every time I'd tried to bring up the topic itself. Even thinking about it, like I'd said, had made my cheeks grow so scarlet that I had to kiss her to make the color seem even between us.

"Perfect. Absolutely perfect. That's just great. Now, we need to come up with the most extravagant plan for this proposal— gosh, give me some time, will you— I've been waiting so long for this that I can swear—"

"Calm down, hyung. And no. Absolutely no extravagance— I'd rather just die of humiliation. I don't want anything to do with the word."

Disappointment crosses his face, making him look so crestfallen that it makes me fidget in nervousness. I didn't want to be the person to shoot down every one of hyung's ideas— but the first had to be done. Both myself and Tzuyu hated luxury and fancy. We'd always chosen to stick with simple and sweet— and had.

"Fine. You're the groom. Since you don't want to set up a party with sixty people, chocolate fountains, crystal chandeliers...."

He seemed to still be stuck on his first choice as he mutters a few other things that billionaires usually have on their weddings or birthday parties.

Ice sculptures, ten-tier cakes— I have to snap him out when he gets too far, murmuring to hire an entire orchestra.

Ridiculous.

"Hyung, snap out of it. We're not in some European Era, and none of us have a truckload of money to burn. Can we please keep it simple? Please."

He gets the force and tension in my voice and leans back on his chair thoughtfully. I watch in interest as his gaze drifts up and down on the plain ceiling, his mind lost in his world.
