Third person POV
Boruto sprinted to his fathers office. "Sir. You called!?" He asked, barging into the office. "Yes." Naruto said. "I'm going to need you to help me with some Hokage business due to the war declaration. I'm sorry this is so last minute. Shikamaru has to go back to the Sand with Temari for a meeting with Gaara and Kankuro." He said. "It's ok. What do you need me to do now?" Boruto asked. "The stack over here is some battle tactics that might be useful for the war. Look through those and make separate piles: keep and trash. After that, rank them by difficulty so we can teach the older academy students." He said, pointing to a towering stack of documents. "Sir." Boruto said as he began immediately.
"Any news back from the other villages?" Boruto asked. "Just waiting for the Mist to answer. Everyone else is safe and will be joining us as allies." Naruto replied. "Alright. I finished the first part. Onto the second part of the job. Looks like I'm faster than you, who's supposed be doing this. Maybe I should replace Shikamaru!" Boruto laughed. "You're hilarious.....Thanks again." Naruto said. "Yeah. After this, am I ok to see my family?" Boruto asked. "Yeah." He replied.
Boruto worked hard so he could finish up and be with the kids and Sarada. All he really wanted to do today was be lazy pretty much. He wanted to just cuddle with his family in bed. But then here he was: working for the Hokage. He didn't even tell Sarada, who was sleeping and probably awake right now, wondering where he was and if he was ok.
Sarada held her babies in her arms. They were both sleeping but Sarada was extremely hungry and didn't want to wake them while setting them down. She sighed as she slowly and carefully began to lay them on the couch. She did it perfectly: the kids didn't seem to even notice they were no longer in their mothers' arms.
A knock rang through the room, coming from the front door. "Coming!!" Sarada said as she rushed to the door. She opened the door. "Welcome home, de-" She said before she was interrupted by herself. "Who are you and what do you want?" She said as she reached for the kunai in her holster. "I need you to come with me." The dark figure said.
Sarada said nothing as she grabbed the kunai tightly in her left hand. The enemy didn't bother to fight. The figure grabbed Sarada by the arm, pulled her close, and covered her mouth. "You will be coming with me." The enemy said as an orange chakra ran from it's fingertips and onto Sarada as she passed out, leaving the babies alone at the house.
Boruto's POV
"Alright, I'm done." I said as I finished labeling the stacks with a sticky note. "Alright. Fantastic. Thank you." Dad said. "Yeah." I said as I walked out of his office and back home.
"I'm home!!" I shouted as I opened the door. That's when a heart piercing silence struck me.
"Sarada!? Where are you!?" I shouted as I finished searching every room for the fifth or sixth time. "The living room maybe!?" I asked myself as I sprinted downstairs to the living room for the first time. Why didn't I think of looking there!?
"Oh.....my....gosh....." I began as I suddenly realized something was bad. Really bad. The babies were home alone. Sarada would never let the babies be home alone.
I dialed Dad's number. "Hello?" He asked. "Dad there's an emergency. Sarada is missing." "What do you mean?" "I mean, she's not in the house." "She doesn't always have to be home, ya know?" "The babies were home alone." Silence. "I'll be right there." He said as he hung up.
Dad got here with Shisu, Sakura, Sasuke, and Mom. I was in tears as I held the kids on the couch. "Boruto.....it's ok." Mom said as she sat next to me. "It's not though!" I shouted as I shoved my head into her shoulder. She stroked my hair. Just like Sarada did. I stood up and gave her the kids. "I'll be back...." I said, my voice shaking still.
I walked outside and sat down on the ground. I put my head in my hands as I cried. "I'm such a bad husband, dang it!!" I shouted into my palms. "Boruto." Shisu's voice called. I looked up and he stood there, hands in his pockets. He sat next to me. "You aren't a bad person at all." He said. "If I'm not, then why is my wife gone!?" I shouted. He gave me a long hug. "Breathe, brother. You need to calm down if you intend on finding her." He said as he continued to hug me. "Now. We need to calm down and listen to your father. He's got a plan going down." He said to me. "Thanks." I said as I calmed down.
Third person POV
"What areas outside of the house have we checked?" Naruto asked. "We've checked the park, her favorite cafe, my house, your house, and the training grounds so far." Sakura said. "Ok. Continue scanning the village. Inojin and Sai are doing an aerial search. Shino has his bugs out. Kiba and Akamaru are on the scene too. Boruto! Do happen to have any cameras in the house?!" Naruto asked. "One. Outside the front door." Boruto said. "Check it." Sakura said before Naruto got the chance.
"Dad! I've got something!!" Boruto shouted from his tech room where the camera and everything was kept. People crowded behind Boruto's chair as he played a video.
The dark figure snuck around the house then pounded on the front door. The door opened and the figure walked inside. Moments later, an unconscious Sarada came out in the figures arms. Everyone gasped at the sighed. Boruto however, didn't gasp. His mind burned in rage. He felt Hinata put her hand on his shoulder. "We will find her, Boruto." She said. He looked up to her as her face was straight for the first time in a while.
Hey guys!! Hope you liked this one!! I might add in a character design for Shisu in the next chapter so you guys can see what he looks like!!
