Boruto's POV

~Sunrise~
I still wouldn't believe that she's 'not gonna make it'. I mean, her monitor was still running. I stayed in the hospital room with her, tears spilling out as I waited for her. "Don't leave me, Sarada. Not just for me, for you and everyone else. The kids, our parents, the village, and so many others. I want to see you become Hokage. I want to stay up late on rainy night with you and cuddle. There's so much more I wanna do." I said. I felt her fingers twitch at the mention of 'Hokage'. I smiled as I jerked up, more alerted.

She was going to make it.

I just had to keep talking.

"Sarada, you need to wake up if you want to become Hokage, don't you?! I mean, you can't do it asleep, can you!?" I said, as a smile that I haven't felt in over a month crept onto my face. Her eyes twitched. "Come on, Sara!! Let's go home and see the kids!!" I said, still holding her hand and standing up.

That's when it happened.

She gasped for air as she shot up in her bed, like she just had the worst nightmare ever. "SAKURA!!!!" I shouted as I hugged my wife. "I'm so glad you're alive..." I cried into her shoulder as she hugged me back. Sakura rushed into the room. "No way......Sarada!!" Sakura shouted as she embraced Sarada and I.

"I'm so glad you're ok." I said as we walked out of the hospital, hand in hand. "I am too. Thank you for saving me." She said. "Anytime, Sara." I said as I kissed her forehead.

We got home, where Mom was watching Itada and Sakudo. "Sarada! We were so worried about you!!" Mom said as she walked to us. "Thank you but no need to worry about me, ok?" Sarada said. "If you say so." Mom laughed. "Did the kids behave?" I asked. Mom nodded and handed them over.

After Mom left, we went to our bedroom with the kids. "What do you say, lazy day?" I asked. "Of course." She said.

I know it was a short chapter but I just had to resolve that little conflict and I didn't want to add a cliff hanger in case I can't update for a while!
