Sarada's POV
I finished training and double checking I knew what I needed with Mom. "I better get home. See ya." I said to Mom. "Alright." She said as she packed up the tent's contents.
The streets were filled with darkness, the lamps around barely lighting a path. I yawned. I had gotten a lot done today. I had to admit that I was really proud of myself. Footsteps followed behind me. I reached for my kunai just in case. I whipped it out as I turned around. "What's the big deal, Sarada? Is this anyway to greet an old friend?" His sly voice asked. "You son of a-" I shouted, throwing shuriken and kunai at him, suddenly interrupted by a punch in the face. I stepped back a bit and wiped my mouth, which was now dripping with blood. "What do you want, Mitsuki!? You betrayed the village three years ago!! How did you get through the guards!?" I asked. "That's not what's important right now, my dear Sarada." He said. "Don't day my name like we're friends you little snake headed idi-" I was interrupted by a bite on the neck. I screamed in pain as a surge of pain entered my whole body.
"Nobody shall know I was here....." He said.
My whole world turned black.
"Sarada!!! Sara!! Come on, love!! Don't give in!!" A comforting voice shouted. I opened my eyes, seeing a blurry face over me. Boruto. I tried sitting up but ended up throwing myself back down in pain. "Hey. Take it easy, Sarada." An unfamiliar voice ordered. I looked to my side. A woman with long blonde hair, put into two very loose ponytails. "Who are you?" My shaky voice asked. "Doesn't matter right now. Sakura. Vitals." She asked. "They're not the best but better than when we found her, ma'am." Mom said. "Good. Sarada, I'm sorry. I thought you'd remember me. Well, now that I think about it, I have only seen you once when you were about four months old.....anyway, I'm Tsunade Senju. The Fifth Hokage. I trained your mother to have the monster strength she has and the medical ninjutsu she knows." She said. "Nice to meet you." I said.
"So, do we know what exactly is going on?" Boruto asked, holding my hand as I held his weakly. "It looks like a poison. Boruto, come to the hall with us for a moment. Shizune, stay here." Tsunade said, Sakura and Boruto leaving me.
Boruto's POV
"What exactly is going on?" I asked. "Well.....this poison is a more severe poison. We're going to do our best to fix this as soon as possible. She must not know how severe it is or else she might want to give in to it. Please, if she asks, tell her that we are going to fix it and it's nothing to worry about. She just needs to listen to us and trust our decisions." Tsunade said. "I don't like lying to her but.....if it will help her stay alive......I'll do it." I said. "I don't like lying to any of my patients either but we have to sometimes.....to give the best to them." Sakura said.
I guess she had a point. I didn't want to make Sarada panic. It'd be too much. I hope she doesn't find out. Especially through me. She'd hate me forever.
I walked into her room. "Ok, we're going to have to do more blood work. Sorry." Tsunade said as she pulled a cart with four tubes. "Where are the kids?" She asked me. "Don't worry. Your dad is watching them." I said. "That's all the reason I should be worried." She laughed.
Sarada's POV
Sure. I was weak and I still had to get more blood taken. Oh well. The kids would be coming later. I was excited to see them and hold them. We got my blood taken and they began to run more tests on me. "Boruto?" I asked as the medics left. "What's up?" He asked, holding my hand as I held his back weakly. "What did they tell you?" I asked. "They told me that they'd be able to fix things with a little bit more hard work and they would do as much as possible to get you back on your feet before the war." He said. "Ok. Are the kids going to be here soon?" I asked. "Yeah." He said.
Boruto's POV
I felt terrible. I hate lying to her. I mean, it wasn't a huge lie. I was technically not lying- I never mentioned how severe it was. A knock rang through the room as we sat in silence. "Come in." I said. Sure enough. Sasuke and Sakura came in, a kid in each hand. "We thought she might want to see the kids." Sasuke said. "Boruto, Sarada, we have a few things to discuss. Well, I'll be discussing them." Sakura said. We both grabbed a kid.
"So, we've done the research needed and in order to have you help in the war, you'll need to have a special blood transfer surgery. We will have you asleep in the process but you'll need to find three people who would be willing to transfer blood. Sasuke said he's willing, I would but I have to run the procedure because I'm the only one who can." Sakura said. "I'll transfer." I said. "Now one more." Sakura said.
Shisu's POV
I stood at the training grounds, sweat running down my face and chest. I grabbed the shirt that I had thrown onto a nearby rock and wiped the sweat away. My phone rang. I looked to see Boruto's name. "Hey. What's up?" I asked. "Hey, this is your mom. We have something to discuss. Come to the hospital, room 72." She said. "Ok." I said. We hung up. I slipped my dirty shirt on and ran to the hospital.
"I'm in." I said. "Shisu......thank you so much....Boruto, Dad, you too....." Sarada began. "I would also like to be a part of this." A familiar voice said from the doorway. "Dad......." Boruto said.
Hope you guys liked this one!!
