After a half month of prepping.....
Boruto's POVI stood at the frontline of the battlefield, a large line of shinobi of all villages with me. On the other side, Orochimaru stood with his army of reanimations and beasts he had made. Dad stood by my side as I gulped nervously. "It'll be alright." He said to me. I looked to him. He was smiling as he awakened Kurama.
We made the first move, charging towards the opponent. I suddenly realized the shape of the beasts. They were the ones who nearly killed me years ago. I stepped back in fear, standing in pure silence and felt tears come to my eyes. Shikadai stopped at my side. He put both hands on my shoulders and looked into my eyes.
"Boruto!! Get with it!! You can't let your fears take over! Sure, this may be scary to see something that almost killed you. That was years ago. Keep it behind you- where it should be. Plus, you're stronger!! You can beat this!! Let's go!" He said.
He's always been a real friend but I never knew he was able to be that motivational. "Right." I said as we both ran with the rest of the group together. "So, you have a strategy?" I asked him. "What do you say? Use the old one?" He asked. "Heck yeah!! You better not be rusty!!" I laughed. "Shut up, stupid! You think I'd be rusty!?" He asked. "I was just sayin!" I smiled. I know, I shouldn't be laughing and smiling during a war. Oh well, I guess.
We got closer to the enemy grounds as shouts and cries of war were heard. Shikadai used his shadow stitching jutsu as I got a vanishing Rasengan set into my palms. I threw it at the enemy Shikadai had captured as I prepped another for the next beast.
These. Were. Weak. Beasts.
I defeated one with a single Rasengan that wasn't a giant Rasengan. The next thing we would have to do after beating the five other beasts is take care of the reanimations and Orochimaru.
This war wouldn't last too long.
Sarada's POV
I sat in the medic tent nervously. What if I don't do my job right? What if the kids get sick or hurt? What if Boruto gets hurt? Those were just a few of the things stressing me out so much.
"Sarada!! Over here!!" Mom shouted as the first patient was carried in by Inojin. "How major?" I asked. "He was thrown down by a beast. Grabbed tightly by the throat." Inojin said as he ran out and jumped onto his bird, probably to pick more injured people up.
I began performing a simple medical ninjutsu on his throat as Mom checked him for any other injuries. "Looks like his shoulder and ankle are out of place." She said. "Alright. Can you do it?" I asked. "Sure." She said as I finished up his neck.
I held the Rock Village Ninja down as Mom told him what was happening.
"We're going to have to put your shoulder and ankle back into place, that's why they hurt so much. It'll hurt when I put them back but once I'm done, you'll be ready to go back to the battlefield." She said. "Alright let's just get this done and over with." He said. "Alright. Sarada in case he starts moving around, stay here." Mom said. "Ok." I responded. I don't know why I chose this job. I hate seeing people in pain. I mean, I could always switch into the battlefield but I'd have to check with the heads of the Attack Force and Medical Unit, which both happen to be my parents.
We put the man's shoulder and ankle back into place with no complications. He was off and back on the battlefield right after.
"Mom?" I asked. "Yeah, what is it?" She asked. "I want to go on the battlefield. I don't like seeing people in pain and it's hard for me to do my job like this. I keep hesitating. Can you talk to someone about it?" I asked. "Of course. I could tell you didn't feel comfortable with it. I've already talked with Naruto and he said he'd be happy for you to join." Mom said. "Alright. I'll be off then." I said as I hugged her. "Be safe." She said. "I will."
Hinata's POV
"Kurenai-sensei, do you need help with anything specific?" I asked. "Can you take care of the babies? I'll help the elders, Shino can you take care of the children?" She asked. Shino and I both nodded as we walked over to the new posts we had just gotten.
I held Itada and Sakudo as I watched the rest of the babies. There weren't a lot, maybe just five more and then my two grandkids. I sighed as Itada began crying. I quickly settled her down so she wouldn't cause trouble to the other babies.
Boruto's POV
I stood at the frontlines as I waited for more orders. "Boruto!!" I heard a shout. I looked back to see Sarada running to me. "Sara, what are you doing here?" I asked as she hugged me. "I'm a frontline fighter now. I just didn't feel comfortable with healing people." She said. "I understand." I responded. I held her hand as she held mine and we waited for more orders together.
"Let's go!!" I shouted as we charged towards the reanimations. The sound of kunai's clashing and shouts of many men were audible throughout the land.
This was only the beginning.
Hey! So, yeah, updates might be a little slower because it's a war and I have to try and fit quite a few things in but I really hope you liked this one!! Thank you all for your patience!!! There will be quite a few more time skips but it's for the good of the book!!
Sarada is about six months pregnant!
