Inojin's POV

I sat on my bird as I flew around, waiting and watching for any signs of injury. "Inojin! Get to the medic tent, stat!" Mom's voice said as it echoed through my head. She was using a mind jutsu so she could get in contact with me.

I flew down to the medic tent. "Inojin, we're happy to say that you have a newborn daughter. She's with your wife right now." Sakura said as she walked out of the tent to meet with me. "Are they ok!?" I asked. "Yes, they're fine. Both of them are healthy. There were no complications. Would you like to see them?" She asked. "Of course." I replied as she brought me to see Himawari.

Himawari's POV

I sat on the small bed, the new baby in my arms. "Hima." Inojin's voice called as he walked in. "Inojin." I replied as he came to see us. "I'm sorry." He said. "What do you mean?" I asked. "I couldn't be here to help you through the delivery. I was too far away." He said. I kissed his forehead. "It's ok. We're in the midst of a war. I understand." I said. "I'm proud of you." He replied. "Thank you. Do you want to hold her?" I asked. "Yes, please." He smiled. I gave him our daughter as he held her, tears forming in his eyes. "What do you want to name her?" I asked.

"Is Inoari ok?" He asked.

"Inoari is a beautiful name." I smiled as he gave me a kiss.

A half hour later....

"I'm sorry. I need to go." Inojin said, giving Inoari back. "Ok. Be safe, dear." I said. "I will." He said, giving me a kiss on the forehead.

Sarada's POV

Since I was becoming further into my pregnancy, Boruto and Mom had me go to the Caretaker center to be cared for because I couldn't fight. Boruto fought me to make sure I'd go. He even escorted me there and lectured me about how if I left the center, he'd stop cuddling with me. I knew it wasn't true due to how much he hesitated saying it but I went with it anyway.

Boruto's POV

"Shisu, what are we supposed to do!?" I asked. "Not sure! These reanimations are nearly impossible to destroy!! Your dad is taking care of Orochimaru right now! Man, he really didn't think his war plan out well, did he!?" Shisu laughed. "No, he really didn't." I said.

A lot of our men were injured terribly. Inojin and Sai were busy. Very busy.

I had gotten a large gash on my arm and had to go to the tent under Shisu's order.

Inojin picked me up and flew me over there. We were both really quiet on the way there.

"I can't believe you got this big of a gash, Boruto." Sakura said. "Sorry......how's Himawari?" I asked. "When I'm done patching this up, I'll show you to her. She was very weak when she gave birth to her daughter so she's still being watched by an assistant medic." She said. "Alright. Thanks." I said as she finished patching the gash on my arm. She showed me to my sister.

"Hey, Himawari." I said as I walked to her. "Hey." She responded. She looked exhausted. "Is ok if I see the baby while I talk with you?" I asked. "Sure. Her name is Inoari." She said as she handed my niece over. "I can't believe I'm an uncle." I said. "I can't believe I'm a mom. Anyway, is there anything specific you wanted to talk about?" She asked. "Kinda, yeah." I said.

"So, why does Inojin looks so frustrated? He usually talks to me whenever he can but he was silent when I was flown here." I said. "He feels really bad about not being here for the delivery. Right now I think he sees himself as a failure as a husband and father. That's my guess. He was fine before I had her. I hope he's not upset about having a baby....." she began. "I don't think he's upset about being a father. He was talking to me about always wanting to be a father and having a family so that's not it. I'll snap him out of it, whatever it is." I said.

I gave Inoari back to Himawari and left to join everyone on the battlefield.

We were lucky enough sometimes to get a small lunch break and to be with family. Today was one of the days I got a break with Sarada and the kids.

"So, how are you feeling?" I asked, sitting down next to her and wrapping one arm around her waist. "I'm exhausted and this baby is driving me crazy. I honestly wish I could just deliver it already." She sighed, leaning her head on my shoulder. "I know, it'll all be over before you know it though. Just breathe through the struggles." I said, kissing her forehead. "Thanks. How are you by the way?" She asked. "Exhausted." I laughed. She giggled a little as we sighed. She put her hand on the small bump on her stomach. "The little one has been quite active lately." She smiled. I put my hand on hers and held it. "That means it's healthy." I said. "Yeah. Did you want to find to find out the gender before it's born or did you want a surprise again?" She asked. "Hm...I think we should change it up this time around. Let's find out before." I said. "We'd have to get an ultrasound soon. I'm already at almost seven months through." She said. "I understand. I need to go back. Sorry, Sara." I said. "It's alright. Be safe." She said.

"I will. After all, I want to find out what our baby's gonna turn out like with you in the future." I smiled.
